It's worth pointing out that only about 10% of abortions are done after 12 weeks - about 60% are done at or before 8-9 weeks, and about 88% are done at or before 12 weeks. While those pictures of the babies are cool, they aren't really relevant to the overwhelming majority of the abortions done in the US.I'm convinced that abortions are sold as a matter of convenience to the pregnant lady. Now if she sees a 3D/4D of her child at 6 weeks gestation and then a tape of a child at 2 months, then 3 months further along to show her the rapid development of the child...I am also convinced there would be a lot fewer abortions.
And the medical staff would not even need to comment on the subject. The child would silently argue in his/her own behalf to all but the most heartless people.

You apologists for abortion are the main reason it still continues.
If that sounds harsh, too bad.

It's worth pointing out that only about 10% of abortions are done after 12 weeks.10 percent of total abortions is a lot of dead babies.
To: EternalVigilance
I may be wrong, but I don't think Snidely Whiplash was being an apologist. I read it as the true sick reasoning they will use to continue with their evil practice of killing babies - before the images in the pictures are formed.

Evil finds truth to be "deeply disquieting". Good. Live with it. Squirm. Screech. Feel uncomfortable. Lay awake at night thinking about it. It's good for ya. And, you deserve it. Superbly stated.

10 percent of total abortions is a lot of dead babies. Yup, about 300,000 here in the USA alone.
Never forget, there have been no IRS audits of abortionist or their mills since 1976, with no chance of an IRS audit, how many cash abortions do you think get reported?
Best guess, over half the abortions in the USA are paid for with cash and are not reported by the abortionist.

Anne Karpf, a commentator for the British-based Guardian who bills herself as a medical sociologist, says the photos are deeply disquieting and ridicules the anti-abortion lobby for being intoxicated with evidence of a fetus humanity. Wow, what a sick statement. I imagine quite a few Nazi officials said similar things about people who were "intoxicated with evidence of a Jew's humatity".
To: Snidely Whiplash
By your numbers 10% are done after the 12th week, that represents about 160,000 abortions annually, or 400+ a day.. I'd hardly call that an irrelevant number. That's about 5 times the number of people killed daily in car crashes, and over 3 times the death toll of Vietname annually.
Abortion is infantacide pure and simple, no amount of spin can change that fundamental fact.

I beg to differ.
It pushes back, in the minds of the undecided, the invisible line in the minds of mothers - at what point is this a life?
It raises very considerable doubts in the minds of mothers, and that is excellent news for adoption agencies and for those that believe that abortion is our generation's slavery issue.
In a very real sense, every human life is in danger until it passes through the vagina. At that point, liberals are the party of children /sarcasm off.
To: Snidely Whiplash
Yes, Snidley, they are. The abortion industry uses every tool to fight any restrictions on abortion, so those who are engaged in trying to roll back the slaughter have to use every tool we can get our hands on as well.
These photos are extremely powerful because they impact directly in the mind of people. They say "I am not a blob of fetal tissue, I am a baby."
Before, the abortionists and their allies decried the use of photos showing the horrible aftermath of abortion, and a lot of people thought they had a point. It was horrible.
But these pics? These pics are exactly the opposite. They are cute. They cause positive emotions, and that is why the abortionists worry about them.
They know this technology will be damn effective in deterring abortion.

"Allison Herwitt, director of government relations for NARAL Pro-Choice America in Washington, also attacked pro-life supporters of the bill. 'They dont want women to go to Planned Parenthood, where theyll get their full range of options,' said Alison Herwitt. 'They just want them to go to crisis pregnancy centers, where women will be exposed to this weapon at taxpayers expense.'"
Wow. Talk about being a hypocrite. She's A) pissed off because women are being offered another option besides abortion and B) attempting to take the moral high ground by saying that her side is being denied it's say.
I once heard some liberal say on TV that nobody is pro-abortion, but that hey support the right to choose. This right here shows how wrong they are. These people show all the earmarks of people who want to see as many babies sucked down the drain as possible. These people are sick, and I truly believe that if they were tested by a psychiatrist he'd find me to be right.
Of course, I'm sure that there's a welfare recipient somewhere who is too lazy to get a job who's SO much more deservent of the money in this woman's opinion.
