Is joining the EU part of Wesley Clark's platform too?

Clark Calls for a 'New American Patriotism

Liberals are skilled at evading their crimes by simply defining them away.

They rename "racism" to "multiculturalism" then call anyone who objects to this, "racists"

Now you see them redefine treason as the "New American Patriotism", and if you object, you will be a traitor.

Good point!

The Clintoons never did have much tolerance for opposing viewpoints.

"Gen. Wesley K. Clark called today for "a new American patriotism" that would encourage broader public service, respect domestic dissent even in wartime and embrace international organizations like the United Nations. "

Who needs sovreignty?

The new version of American patriotism means loving your country so much you kill women and children with tanks and chemical weapons.

So "patriotism," to Clark, means jettisoning the time-honored rule that "politics ends at the water's edge?" That's how the Leftists caused the US to lose a winnable war in Viet Nam, and how the Leftists are trying to make America "lose" in Iraq by pulling out and leaving a vacuum which terrorists can fill.

So "patriotism," to Clark, means "embracing" the United Nations. The only thing the UN and its leftist supporters in Europe and elsewhere will accept from us is the slow surrender of our sovereignty and our wealth. How is it "patriotic" to give away our right to govern ourselves? How is it "patriotic" to bleed Americans dry for the sake of third world ratholes, which will never create wealth -- not because their people are innately incapable -- but because they have a socialist mindset and a culture which doesn't foster individual initiative?

With respect to Muslim immigrants -- some have come to live in freedom. That's true. Others have come as part of a desire to spread Islam and make the whole world into the Ummah. I have no idea what the percentages are. I have met people in both groups. Not all of the people in the latter group think they have to resort to terrorism or violence -- not yet. They just plan to move to the US and have 12 children. Eventually, the US will look like Europe. Demographers predict that before the middle of this century, Europe will be majority Muslim.

It's very interesting that this line was included in a New York Times article about Clark. It's a real slap in his face.

Clark may love the UN, but the Slimes still hates a military man.

"Patriotism doesn't consist of following the orders, not, not not when you're not in the chain of command," the general said

Nothing negative about that.

What I consider negative is the insinuation that under the current administration, patriotism has been equated to following orders.

How about those with the courage to speak out in condemnation of those who speak out? Should they be condemned or praised?

"Nobody should be condemned, because it isn't right to be judgmental, maybe they are just misunderstood due to cultural diff...oh wait, you are talking about the right-wing reactionaries, aincha? Yes, they should be condemned."

Yes. Haven't we heard the voice behind the new muppet before? Sounds familiar. And I've seen this cartoon before. It's deja vu all over again.

If that comment about our plans for military action was accurate, you may be very close to exactly right.

With respect to Muslim immigrants -- some have come to live in freedom. That's true. Others have come as part of a desire to spread Islam and make the whole world into the Ummah.

A good test for whether an immigrant has come to live in freedom would be to ask him to renounce Islam. After all, Islam encourages the murder of innocents--what's more, it's built on the murder of innocents--therefore, a truly freedom-loving man cannot possibly believe in it. You have a choice: either you stay a Muslim, or you come to the States to be free. You can't have both.

Those who say this policy would be unacceptable because it is "intolerant" and "discriminatory" do not understand, or refuse to acknowledge, what the meaning of freedom is. Freedom is all about removing the threat of a violation of the people's rights--such as murder of innocents, for example. Those who believe in the murder of innocents have no place in a free society. Thus, the very definition of freedom involves an intolerance for the wrong and discrimination against those who practice it.

And those who can't accept this, have likewise no place in a free society.

"Three million Muslims have come to this country from Asia and the Middle East," he said. "They didn't come because they were afraid of our values. They came because they wanted to live under them."

Wake up, General, and smell what you're shoveling.
