Remember the old conservative charge that many of the Democrats here in America were playing footsie with the Soviets? Some Republicans even said the Russians viewed the Democrats as their favorite party.
Now bombshell revelations prove these accusations beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Peter Schweizer, a Hoover Institution research fellow, has just written a new book, "Reagan's War: The Epic Story of His Forty-Year Struggle and Final Triumph Over Communism."
This book may well force historians to revise the history of the Cold War.
Schweizer, after scouring once-classified KGB, East German Stasi and Soviet Communist Party files, discovered incontrovertible evidence that the Soviets not only played footsie with high-ranking Democrats, they also worked behind the scenes to influence American elections.
In "Reagan's War," Schweizer shows how the Democrats worked with Moscow to try to undermine Reagan before and after he became president.
Jimmy Carter's Dirty Tricks
Soviet diplomatic accounts and material from the archives show that in January 1984, former President Jimmy Carter dropped by Soviet Ambassador Anatoly Dobrynin's residence for a private meeting.
Carter expressed his concern about and opposition to Reagan's defense buildup. He boldly told Dobrynin that Moscow would be better off with someone else in the White House. If Reagan won, he warned, "There would not be a single agreement on arms control, especially on nuclear arms, as long as Reagan remained in power."
Using the Russians to influence the presidential election was nothing new for Carter.
Schweizer reveals Russian documents that show that in the waning days of the 1980 campaign, the Carter White House dispatched businessman Armand Hammer to the Soviet Embassy.
Hammer was a longtime Soviet-phile, and he explained to the Soviet ambassador that Carter was "clearly alarmed" at the prospect of losing to Reagan.
Hammer pleaded with the Russians for help. He asked if the Kremlin could expand Jewish emigration to bolster Carter's standing in the polls.
'Carter Won't Forget That Service'
"Carter won't forget that service if he is elected," Hammer told Dobrynin.
Carter was not the only Democrat to make clear to the Russians where their loyalty lay. As the election neared in 1984, Dobrynin recalls meetings with Speaker of the House Thomas P. "Tip" O'Neill.
O'Neill told Dobrynin that no effort should be spared to prevent "that demagogue Reagan" from being re-elected.
Soviet documents report that O'Neill told Dobrynin: "If that happens, Reagan will give vent to his primitive instincts and give us a lot of trouble, probably, put us on the verge of a major armed conflict. He is a dangerous man."

After he left the White House, his government-grant financed Carter Center made it their full time job to win Jimmah the Nobel and, 20 some years later, succeeded.
Now I hear he's running for Sainthood.

Now, is there any question why the CPUSA has a link to MoveOn.org? This has to be as low as the RAT party can go, before it crumbles and becomes insignificant in politics.
Of course, the media will never report this, and the RATs will keep their base with their scare tactics. Always have, always will.

Carter committed treason with the Soviets, Clinton committed treason with China, and now it's China the Dems beg to sway our elections.

Not that he was as important as Carter, but let's also never forget what an evil mountainous pile of blubber Tip O'Neill was, too. He was a vicious, hateful man portrayed by the press as a genial, twinkle-in-the-eye old guard politician. I must say, though, it was great fun watching the world pass by this blithering gasbag as he sputtered incomprehensibly, outmaneuvered time and again by Reagan. I'm sure he's fixing elections in Hell even as we speak.

Conspiracy theories are given more weight by the media, than facts, if they implicate a Democrat.
Don't you mean if they implicate a Republican?

Hammer bragged he had Senator Gore bought and paid for and in his pocket. I'm sure the late senator's son is still well endowed with Phillips Petroleum stock that bought his dad (inventor of the Interstate Highway System).

According to the official figures, Carter had a plurality of more than 1.6 million popular votes in 1976, but he had only a 297-240 edge in the electoral college (one Republican elector voted for Reagan, but presumably would have voted for Ford if his vote would have made a difference). Carter won Ohio by 11,116 votes and Wisconsin by 35,245 votes; if Ford had carried those two states he would have had a majority of the electoral votes. It certainly seems possible there could have been 11,117 fraudulent votes counted in Ohio; could there have been 35,246 fraudulent votes in Wisconsin?
It's possible that some other scenarios with small shifts of votes would have given Ford the victory in 1976 (leaving out Wisconsin). To be sure there were some states he carried by narrow margins.

And if Ford hadn't stuck his foot in his mouth and said Poland wasn't under Soviet domination during debate with Carter, the Dems might not have been able to do anything about it.
OTOH, the Carter Presidency is what brought about Reagan. It may have been worth it.

Tie that scurvy dog to the yard arm! Ye be sailing into dangerous waters, matey. Watch them "panty waste" cracks! (unless it's a REALLLLLY long voyage)
Tis surely time for lofting sail and making for Port Royal! If ye be pirate, bucanner, privateer or freeper, ye be welcome in that port. There's a fair wind for Jamaica and no defense for the Spanish (or liberal) fleet. There be plenty of rich bounty to be had, and plenty of fat Democrats to be fleeced to make a pile of lucre to be shared out.
Equal shares now. Equal shares I say!

This doesn't alter my view of Jimmy Carter one iota. This is the image I have had of the man for 25 years. It also doesn't alter my view of the post-1968 Democrats, as they began to purge the pro-Americans and Christians from their ranks while promoting the pro-Communist Leftists.

Ol' Peanut brain and his media lap dogs conviently forget the part about the 12% unemployment and 21% interest rates during his miserable mis-administration. As horrible as the economy was back then, it was not the economy alone that sank The Peanut. It was also:
1)His blaming the American People for the "malaise" of the economy. It was like he slapped me personally in the face.
2) His Blanket Amnesty for all the VietNam War Draft Dodgers (including hid nephew) who fled to Canada, Sweden, etc. He slapped a lot of us veterans in the face with that one.
