Mayor Alan Autry will try to suspend the city's Human Relations Commission after its chairwoman issued a news release labeling a local conservative organization a "hate group." Autry vowed Saturday to take action against the commission in the latest clash between the group and more conservative members of the Fresno city government.

When you move your sexual congress from night in your own bedroom to afternoon in your front yard, you should expect criticism of your habits, technique, style, and choice of partner.

To then condemn such comments as "anti-gay" or whatever is mendacity either to yourself or the rest of the world.

If I belong to a group that hates hatred, are we a hate group, or merely a group that hates hatred and thus an "anti-hate" group?

If we are a hate group, we're an exceptional confused lot.

Let's see, so who do we hate today?

Latinos? Nah, too many of us are Latinos.

Blacks? Nah, too many of us are blacks.

Whites? Nah, there's a few of them here, too.

Jews? Nah, too many of us are Jews as well.

Fat people? Hey, leave me alone already...

"We wanted the police to be notified that there was a potential conflict," DeGraff said Saturday. "It was my goal to avert any potential violence. That being my goal, it was accomplished."

Wow! If it weren't for DeGraff's efforts there would have been violence! She must go to the Jesse Jackson School of Self-Aggrandizement....

Does anyone know if any freepers have become violent in any way at a Freeper rally?

At a Floriduh Gore War rally I once made a liberal cry just by asking her how many different counties she voted in during Election night 2000, and if all her votes were accidental ones for Pat Buchanan or did she at least hit the right chad once or twice. Does that count?

"And the guys over at DU just get together and hug each other. Riiight."

I think this comes from a thread I saw in here last week.
Some were commenting with regards to providing a 'warm reception' to DU types who had discussed disrupting the FR picnic on one of their threads. Typical Leftist spin.

At their meeting Thursday, Nicholas DeGraff warned commissioners that the Free Republic was planning events "that had the potential for violence."

DeGraff, a member of Peace Fresno, said he read messages on the Web site that stated Free Republic members were armed and "extremely violent."

Okay who let it out of the bag that some are packing. DeGraff evidently lacks a sense of humor.

Hey, DeGraff where you looking for something in particular. You didn't find it so you made something up and made a fool of yourself. The whole kit and kaboodle of you idiots should be fired.

There are quite a number of anti-gay people in these parts

Hmmmm..., the last leftist I talked to railed on about how J.Edgar Hoover was a cross dressing homosexual. We all know, however, that only conservatives can be anti-gay. Liberals are given a free pass for gay-bashing, sexual harassment, and racism.

DeGraff, a member of Peace Fresno, said he read messages on the Web site that stated Free Republic members were armed and "extremely violent." ...

I, for one, confess to being "extremely violent" when it comes to defending my life, family and property. The fact that I may be armed is a right guaranteed me by the second amendment. Also, I support our troops being "extremely violent" when it comes to defending this nation's liberty. If this qualifies me as a member of a hate group, I plead guilty.

PS: I have never harmed a liberal in my 50 years on this earth, but I confess that I have secretly harbored the desire to string a former unmentionable president up by his unmentionables so that he could never stain a dress again. Does that qualify as hate? Call the thought police.

"You hate rock concerts?! You Nazi!"

(sarcasm)

(Using my best Ronald Reagan voice)

Well there you go again.

I never said I hated anything.

I said ...... I was "anti", ie: not for.

Hell, I don't even hate Nazis'! ;)

Debbie Reyes stated, "When intolerance comes to the table, we need to answer that call." Sadly, Liberals have succeeded in raising tolerance to the level of a beatitude. Frankly, it is insane to tolerate that which destroys the nation. Sorry, Debbie, I'm growing more intolerant by the day, and people like you bleeding-heart lieberals don't slow the process. Now, what action would I take with my intolerance? Read what I write because rhetoric is my weapon. Oh! Sorry, Debbie, you're probably the product of public education, so someone will have to interpret for you, some self-proclaimed mini-messiah for your liebral biases. BTW, Debbie, isn't gross liberal bias a form of intolerance? Bwahahahaha

DUers are planning a disruption of the Fresno Freeper Picnic - Disrupter Alert! (my title)

Activists: attend the Freeper Rally and Picnic sept. 12th & 13th

Come disrupt the annual Freeper Rally in Fresno Sept. 12th & 13th 2003 by freeper • Monday September 01, 2003 at 12:40 PM

Going to miss the WTO in Cancun? Here's an alternative event author: Freepwatch Network Annual Freeper Rally/Gathering in Fresno Sept. 12th & 13th 2003 If you are going to miss the WTO ministorial in Cancun here is an alternative: Lets counter the counter-protesters.

We already have many people committed to attending and disrupting the Freeper annual picnic thrown by Freerepublic owner Jim Robinson. We are hoping to see as many people as possible show up to disrupt their little gathering. Should be a lot of fun.

The Fresno chapter of FreeRepublic Network is throwing their annual picnic sept. 13th and 14th in Fresno. The Freerepublic network is based in and operates out of Fresno, under the control of owner Jim Robinson. The Freerepublic is the largest, busiest, and most widely read political forum in the world, with around 100,000 members. Membership is comprised largely of right wing GOP and other militant right-wingers. DO NOT underestimate the power of the Freerepublic. It is a major organizing tool of the GOP party and right-wing thought throughout the US and overseas.

Freerepublic members are anti-gay, anti-immigrant, anti-peace and justice, and anti-environmental. These are the people who organize counter-protests throughout the country to many progressive causes, including anti-war protests of the past two years.

Freepwatch suggests activists register an account there and actively disrupt the website. Disruption of the FreeRepublic network will help to stop their GOP fundraising and Republican organizing for the 2004 election. Show no mercy.

Here is an announcment posted by Jim Robinson himself regarding the annual Rally and picnic. More information on this event will be posted soon.

LET'S BE THERE IN NUMBERS!

Announcing the 2nd annual tailgate and rally-sept. 12th and 13th

The Fresno/Central Valley Chapter cordially invites one and all to our second annual Fresno Tailgate and Rally on Friday and Saturday, September 12th and 13th, 2003.

Our rally will begin at 5:00 pm and end at 7:00 pm Friday night, at the corner of Blackstone and Shaw in Fresno. Afterwards, the group will retire for dinner and refreshments at the nearby Ramada Inn.

Our tailgate pot-luck picnic will be at Woodward Park on Saturday, September 13th. We have the Mountain View Picnic Area from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm.

The entrance to Woodward Park is on Audubon Drive, just off Freeway 41 on the northern edge of Fresno. The Mountain View Pinic Shelter is near the center of the park and is the second parking lot on the left from the Audubon entrance. Bring your flags, banners, signs, family and children. Prepare to support your country and enjoy the company of your good FReeper friends!

At their meeting Thursday, Nicholas DeGraff warned commissioners that the Free Republic was planning events "that had the potential for violence."

There was that potential, but my understanding was that it was the liberal anti-FR minions that were planning a disruptive and potentially violent "counter rally". There were postings right here on FR that were copied from some of the postings and e-mails. They were agitating for hired thugs and the like to show up and disrupt the FR events. Rather than going after FR, Mr. DeGraff should have been going after those lefties. Not much chance of that, I guess.

Physical violence? It's never happened. Though it has been perpetrated on an unlucky few.

That's why the police across the country have no qualms whatsoever about standing with their backs to us.
