[history]
Mayor Alan Autry will try to suspend the city's Human Relations Commission after its chairwoman issued a news release labeling a local conservative organization a "hate group." Autry vowed Saturday to take action against the commission in the latest clash between the group and more conservative members of the Fresno city government.

That was a great show. Highly under rated. Bubba was one of my favorites.

There are quite a number of anti-gay people in these parts. If you read some of their posts, it isn't hard to see why some people take that as hate. Not hard at all. When did it become illegal to experience the emotion of hatred?

Well, dang!
Does the mean we're gonna have to start shaving our heads?
Or can we just get a tatoo or something?
Do we have to read The Anarchist's Handbook now?

'Free Republic Hate Rally Picnic' I think I see the problem here. We really shouldn't be billing our outings as "Hate Rallies".
May I suggest that we start having "Love-in's" instead.
I'll invite Ann Coulter.

Jim, why don't you sue Autry's ass? She clearly is trying to defame you and your organization.

Thanks. Practice will make perfect. This was the Newsmax title. I saw FR mentioned and got excited.

"Hate group" is PC speech for ideological diversity. And hey, it's nice to be noticed.

Autry is the Mayor who's defending FR against the HRC.

Well you certainly can count me in that number.
On the other hand, I'm "anti- drug addicts, most spiders, rats, poison ivy, McDonalds', re-fried beans, rock concerts, etc. etc..
I don't recall ever getting in a warped frenzy, trying to eliminate them from the earth.
Keeping a good distance from them seems quite satisfactory.

Is there any doubt that a liberal president would use "hate legislation or Patriot Act II to declare FR and other websites hate groups or potential anti-government terrorist sites and order them shut down and all the posters on them investigated?

We also have people who "hate" homophobes. I guess that makes us a hate site as well.

Oh, don't kid yourself. There are quite a number of anti-gay people in these parts. If you read some of their posts, it isn't hard to see why some people take that as hate. Oh puh-leeeeeeeeeeeeeeez. Anybody that speaks out agains the far-left gay activist agenda is labled as hate group. Dr. Laura has been banned in Canada for 'hate speech'. Anything that resembles hate speech on this forum is few and far between and will be cleaned up by moderators.

That is too funny. I imagine the sun shining, blue sky, children skipping through the grass and a bunch of people sitting on red and white checkered blankets eating ribs and chicken mumbling "I hate everyone."LOL... I imagine housewives. "Oh I just hate those darn gays... we have to remember to really hate them-- oh Debbie, did you make this barbecue sauce? Oh, this is really wonderful... there goes my diet! Oh I hate dieting... but that's alright, because this is a hate rally! I almost forgot! Ha ha ha... well, where was I ... hm.... hate gays, REALLY hate dieting.... Oh darn it, I shouldn't have worn white shorts to a barbecue. Hate laundry!"

I imagine the sun shining, blue sky, children skipping through the grass and a bunch of people sitting on red and white checkered blankets eating ribs and chicken mumbling "I hate everyone." That would be the Reform Party picnic.
Or the Democratic Underground picnic if they added "... except minorities that engage in suicide bombing or who mindlessly vote Democrat."

Anti-gay is my religious choice. I dont hate gay people, nor would I in any way be violent to any.
Does anyone know if any freepers have become violent in any way at a Freeper rally?
