Q: What should the U.S. do next?
A: Frankly, if there was a President Gore, we wouldn't be in this particular mess. But we are, and we cannot fail. I very much hope there will be a U.N. resolution that makes clear the U.S. has military command but that would set up a U.N. high representative to coordinate the political and humanitarian things the U.N. does very well.

Q: Did you neglect the threat posed by Osama bin Laden and leave it for the Bush Administration to clean up?
A: President Clinton focused on terrorism from the start. The CIA set up a special bin Laden division, and the President authorized the use of lethal force against him. We struck his camp in 1998 after the embassy bombings, and we came close. President Bush has been in Afghanistan with 8,000 troops, and they still haven't found him.

"Coldfeet" Clinton claims to have authorized the use of lethal force against Aidid in Somalia, too - but said authorization was always withdrawn as soon as Aidid entered the crosshairs and was wearing a red dot on his forehead...
and don't forget the men and boys...which is probably his preference anyway.
Don't forget the president of the University of Miami.

"A presidential executive order issued during the Clinton
administration hamstrung the FBI so badly that bureau
lawyers decided it would be illegal to infiltrate Osama bin
Laden's terrorist training camps in Afghanistan, a senior
FBI official during the Clinton administration said Saturday."

"I don't believe 9-11 happened because of an intelligence breach," Quayle told Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes.""I think it was really a policy breach. It was the inaction of the previous administration, by and large, that al Qaeda -- and bin Laden in particular -- thought that they could hit the United States, and there would be a retaliation maybe of a cruise missile but nothing more than that," he explained.
The comments make the former vice president, who served under President Bush's father from 1989 to 1993, the highest ranking former U.S. official to suggest that the Clinton administration should get the lion's share of the blame for not preventing the 9-11 attacks.
The threat of a second civil war is real-but it's probably 30+ years in the future.
It will not be a War Between the States, since all "State" governments are on the other side and there are no State militias.
Violent acts against the HRC administration will simply end in the death of the perpetrators, since they will not have enough support for organized self-defense.
The massive repression of patriot, Christian, and traditional families will give birth to a generation that will see revolution as the only way out-but they are not born yet.
Al Gore wasn't present during that offer, I'm sure. See, he'd been hitting the iced tea pretty hard, and he had to go change his Depends....

No, but those bad guys still left sucking oxygen in Afghanistan's thin air aren't free to plan attacks on the USA, as they were during Albright's witless term of service. As they still would be in the mythical Camelot of the fortunately-mythical President Gore.
She is one more example of how Clinton's "Cabinet that Looks Like America," with its emphasis on group-membership over ability, stiffed America. There is no Albright Doctrine or Albright Plan... she will be remembered only as the empty footnote, "first female SecState." Even Clinton didn't give much credence to her.
Who turned out the light? All the cockroaches are coming out today. In USA Today, Christiane ("the war slut" aka "Mrs Jamie Rubin, Clinton Administration water-carrier") Amanpour says that CNN was "muzzled" by the Bush Administration. This, from the network that has had to admit that it served as Saddam's propaganda arm willingly for ten years. ("War whore" may be more accurate, because a "slut" is not necessarily for sale, and Amanpour [and CNN] is).

I don't think that statement is far fetched. Only because the Democrats are out of power now they question Bush in Iraq. But who used the military the most with dozens of deployments while he was President? Clinton. We are talking about a man who bombed Serbia and killed 2 to 3 thousand cvilians with dumb bombs from 15000 feet based on lies. Here was a man who bombed an aspirin plant in Sudan based on evidence not one person would vouch for within the entire military/intelligence community (maybe the insane Wesley Clark).
Republicans are the "war" party? Look to the last 100 years of US history and tell me who is the "war" party? If Gore was President we would have a draft and been neck deep in Iraq, Syria, Iran, and Saudi Arabia by now complete with WWII style media censorship.
