A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day....09-12-03....Sugar 'n Spice

A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

Two weeks ago I posted "The Last Days of Summer", featuring the Finest Guys, which of course prompted the Finest Girls to ask, "When are you going to feature us?"

Well, today's the day, Girls. And oh, so Pretty in Pink everyone is!

      ~ Billie

Gentlemen, start your engines! Not just another pretty face, these are all the girls you've loved before.....the little redhaired girl with green eyes and a dimple in her chin; the perky blonde whose ponytail bounced when she walked; that little brunette with the turned-up nose and laughing eyes....they're all here and more. Which ones made your little-boy hearts do flipflops?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Is there a little girl in the whole world who doesn't have a fascination for kittens, pretty birds, and......teddy bears!
And maybe it's a Texas thang, but show me a little girl who's never dreamed of being a cowgirl at least once in her life. Something about those cowboy boots and that hat! :)
The seasons, they are a'changing. Leaves are turning bright orange, gold, red......but whatever the season, the Finest FRiends are constant.
This group of Ohio/West Virginia FReepers are about to have their second reunion, getting together for lunch and a whole bunch of hugs next month. Stay tuned for pictures. :)
Finally, did someone say we should have a Tea Party? I say, "Let's!" Put on your Finest outfit, don your favorite chapeau, and come join the party already in progress.
Tea Party Etiquette
  • Remember to say, "Please" and "No thank you."
  • Place your napkin on your lap.
  • Keep your lips closed when you are eating.
  • Take one of each foods you are offered.
  • Place your used teaspoon on the saucer under your teacup.
  • Say your goodbyes and thank yous when you leave the party.
Have a Wonderful Weekend!
1) Click on the graphic to open the Calendar.
2) Once there you can click on any month and even click to the right to go into next year. Once you are in the month that you joined FR you will need to click on the number in the calendar and then an add item screen will come up.
3) In the next box enter your name in the "Calendar Text" field and then click on submit.
4) If any of the screens fail to load simply click on refresh in your browser and that will usually fix it.
5) If all else fails or simply if you want me to do this for you send me a FReepmail and I will gladly do it for you. ~Mixer
Thanks for the Welcome Home, Aqua - feels like home here on The Finest!
There were so many positive things in those two days.
Missed the excitement reported on the radio and TV Thursday on the main highway feeding into Myrtle Beach, traffic stopped for a while because of a large alligator taking a stroll on it!
All traffic was held to a standstill while Fish & Wildlife Guys responded, captured him and hauled him away to some distant swamp.....
Thanks Aqua, it's always good to be here on FR's friendliest place! I'm working on a campaign, our primary election is next Tuesday, so I have almost no computer time and there are entire days when I don't log on... I'm so glad I didn't miss this! And thank you for your prayers LadyX, I love those little sweeties :)
Maggie Malone waves to Johnny Mac on the West Coast!
Couldn't figure out how to get a message in a bottle to you from the Atlantic to the Pacific, with the Gulf Stream sailing it northeast and washing ashore somewhere in Great Britain or Western Europe..:>(
It's the thought that counts?..:))
I am so happy that you had such a wonderful time in Myrtle Beach! Myrtle Beach in September, best time to be there IMHO :-)
So nice to see you back at the Finest.
Oh that would be great OWf. I didn't realize that Faith was in Ohio. There may be others we are missing. The more the merrier. The poor waitress at Bob Evans will have a heart attack when she sees us coming.
