Richert couldn't hide his dismay. I have no clue who Richert is, but this is so typical of liberals and Dems--they desperately want Bush, America, and our military to fail.
They make me sick.

I don't blame you a bit. And I'll add, it was all I could do to keep from throwing a brick through my television during the memorial ceremonies in 2001. At some of those services they had what seemed like more Moslems Clerics than Christian clergy there. If I had been a relative of one of the victims at those services, there would have been one clear voice objecting in the cool crist autum air. They'd have heard me in D.C.

Larry RichertYou mean Dan Marino's brother-in-law, right? The man ought to be put down for name dropping. Shame on KDKA for putting him in John Signa's place. He's a disgrace.

The most moving image(s) of the towers of light tribute for me come from a VR 360 image that gives you a movable view from the base of the lights. The spherical image was taken the final night of the original tribute. I bring it up and, at the same time, launch an MP3 of Celine Dion's "A New Day" song. You can accompany it with the audio of your choice.
Link here and then choose the upper right hand picture/link (tribute in light panorama). It will launch a separate window. I think you need to load a free player the first time.

I, for one, would like to see the "twin beams" become a permanent fixture at the WTC site.

Believe it or not. The people in the neighborhood of the lights complained and demanded the lights be put out.
Only in NY......

Oh wow! Those are stunning. Thanks for the link. I had that one for my desktop but lost it when I got hit with blaster. Now I wouldn't use it again because I use my own photos in case some kind soul offers it back. Someone else might like to have it though.

Thanks. You are bolder than I. I was leery about possible copyright difficulties so I just posted the link. Nice, isn't it?

You're right -- only in New York.
I can actually sympathize with those people in one respect, though. One of the things that has apparently gotten out of hand is the crass commercialism around Ground Zero, involving the sale of 9/11-related "memorabilia" (as if New York hosted the Olympics in September of 2001 or something like that).
