He's also saying he is in until the finish line, til the end (no matter how much Sean tries to badger him into stepping down.)

Says he's fighting hard to win, its early, this is why we have campaigns, so he'll keep on campaigning, BUT if it is clear that Bustamante is going to win unless he endorses Arnold, then he'll endorse Arnold. But it is way too early to determine that.
Makes a lot of sense, so now maybe its time to lay off some of the constant sniping, and let's see how the campaign goes over the next few weeks and after the debate.

McClintock is really starting to piss me off big time. When Shawn tell's him the commerce poll said 67% of his supporters would want him to drop out and support Arnold if he was behind, Mr. Stubborn still says he's staying in for "the people".

Schartzenegger's BEST move would be to ask McClintock to drop and then offer him the Lt Gov spot and an inside seat for guidance.
He'd wrap this up in a heartbeat.

If have little doubt that Tom would do the right thing and withdraw if he's still way behind in the polls in a few weeks. But if his #'s continue to rise, and it's a relatively close 3-man race (even thought the polls say he trails both other candidates), I expect him to fight to the end. ...and I hope he'd win.

Tom McClintock did a marvelous job of answering the questions on Hannity and Colmes tonight. Just the opposite of Arnold's poor perfromance on O'Reilly's Factor show.
No wonder Arnold doesn't want to debate McClintock. He'd get his clock cleaned, royally! McClintock may be a policy guy, but the more I see him, the more he impresses me. McClintock seems like a fair minded individual and a guy you could go out and have a beer with. He really has a passion for fiscal responsibility and knows the future of California is in jeapordy, if either liberal (Arnold or Cruz) is elected. McClintock would make a good governor. McClitnock knows what is facing California and can get the job done.

Hannity is another strap hanger
desiring to hang with the rich and famous
wants to be Ahnolds buddy...and when Arnie gets elected
and owes Sean a little debt
Sean can hope for a little more access....every reporters dream
Bet he doesnt get passed Maria though

My earlier post on the subject:
I'm not ready to condemn McClintock just yet. I assume that he's taking a hard stance because he doesn't want to turn off any backers who would still financially support him in the final weeks unless he were to appear to waffle. I still expect him to be a team player and do what's right for the short-term for California and the long-term for his career. However, I also think that he's our insurance against the Democrat "late hit" against Schwarzenegger which I still think is coming. I know that absentee ballots are out now, but I don't think they will be a factor for McClintock. My gut instinct is that his supporters will either wait until the end or show up in person.

Stand steady, Tom. Stand steady. The "right wing crazies" need a choice in this relection.
