Instead of crying in a river about dropping outta race, why not Ahnold go out and EARN the votes of those that would back McClintock(Or even Cruz for that matter). On the same note, McClintock should do the same.

If Ahnold(or McClintock) can't win the race unless someone else drops out, that person deserved to lose anyway.

Nobody is ENTITLED to votes.

Arnold has dropped from 51% to 39% in less than a month in SurveyUSA polls.

Not unexpected.

Another month, and he and McClintock will be at parity in the polls.

IF the trend stays as it is, which it is likely to NOT do.

However if the 9th delays the vote (I agree it would be illegal but they'll almost certainly do it anyway), then Arnold is toast because he can't stand the media pressure for another 6 months because he has virtually no policies.

Sorry, kiddo. The Supremes will vacate an order that egregious, and they will also issue a stay on the 9th (as they've done in other cases), forbidding them from ruling on any aspect of the case without Supreme Court permission.

Arnold's only hope will be an immediate injunction by SCOTUS but I have doubts the Supremes will want to put their asses on the line like they did in 2000.

They will. Stuff THAT bad has to be killed instantly.

Hey, keep encouraging Tom to get out, you'll have Gray Davis until January 2007. The Governor appreciates all of your hard work for the Democrat party and most importantly, for the "Progressive" agenda. ;-)

That debate was ridiculous, but the one last night looked like something out of Saturday Night Live! So much hyperbole and so little substance. What a year we are heading into!

Oh they'll almost certainly delay the election.

The 9th will say something along the lines of "We need to give minorities more time to get in touch with their polling stations" or something along those lines.

Of course the real reason will be to give Davis and BustaMEcha lots of time to nuke Arnold's campaign with ads and rumormongering.

Anyway if SCOTUS let's the 9th get away with this (Not likely because of the heat they took in 2000 over Bush v Gore), then the Arnold backers will have a collective aneurism.

That's exactly what everyone should be looking at -- dump Davis/Cruz and vote for the Republican that can do just that!

I shall also vote on October 7th and my goal is the same as your. Recall doofus-doltus and vote for the one Republican who's leading the polls.

And neither one of them will beat Busty.

This is insane.....the idea here is to rid CA of Davis not beat your fellow Republican to a bloody pulp.

I am concern about the absentees that went out this week- if a person voted for Tom then in the end he drops out- then a vote is wasted and Busty wins.
Spare us that ordeal.
Tom should go gracefully at this time so there will be no mistake who wins- Arnold is the most popular . Tom is smart on the answers because he has been in politics a long time. Arnold is a fresh face but can be a leader and popular with the folks.

Notice how these vapid RINOs have nothing to say about any of McClintock's positions? They just comment on the way his eyes look? They remind me of all thoe bimbos who said they were voting for Clinton because he was "sexy"... Disgusting...

Yeah... that brings us to that heart of your latest Arnold distortion. He did not say that ANYONE who supported Prop 54 was a "right wing-crazy".... he said if "right-wing crazies" had a problem with his stance, he wasn't going to worry.

I'm sure he was referring to the same radical right-wingers that Reagan said he constantly had difficulty with, not ALL right-wingers.

Another mature response from a Gray Dav-, uh, Ah-nold Schwarzemente supporter. Keep up the good work and vote no on the recall ! :-)

C'mon, let's be fair here. Making fun of McClintock's looks is a cheap shot(though I know that you aren't the first to do so). He makes a lot of sense, and is right on top of his facts. He is a good candidate, even if you are not rooting for him.

"Sorry, kiddo. The Supremes will vacate an order that egregious, and they will also issue a stay on the 9th (as they've done in other cases), forbidding them from ruling on any aspect of the case without Supreme Court permission."

How many votes would it take for SCOTUS to vacate the ruling?

PS: That's not the McClintock backers plan, that's the DNC in conjunction with the 9th Circuit's plan of action.

I, like most McClintock supporters, am just a spectator.
