NEVER FORGET
...On November 2001's Veterans Day Weekend, 2 months after the Attacks of September 11th, I was blessed at the last minute to be able to attend our Annual Battle of IA DRANG Alumni Conference Dinner in Washington, D.C., just one mile from a wounded Pentagon.
...We were honoring the Lifetime Lifesaving Heroism of our newly fallen U.S. 7th Cavalry Brother RICK RESCORLA, where I was further blessed to sit at the table next to a newly widowed Mrs. SUSAN RESCORLA. 'Dateline NBC' TV Cameras were covering everything for a RICK & SUSAN 911 Story that aired the following March.
...After our U.S. 7th Cavalry's dawn Ceremony before the 3rd Panel of the Vietnam Wall the next day ...I was further blessed to be able to pay Honor to our newly fallen HILLARY-Fighting Hero & fellow Freeper 'BKO' BARBARA K. OLSON, at the Pentagon where her Jetliner smashed into the 1st Floor in a Ball of Flames on the morning of September 11, 2001.
T'is now our Loving...

-St. BARBARA K. OLSON of America

What really sticks in my craw is that a non-citizen like Rick Rescorla can come to the US, serve her ably in the US military, continue to serve in his post-military career, then die in the WTC attack. Yet, a small plurality of voters in the US are so out of touch, so deluded, so completely without a sense of country that they can manage to elect a draft-dodging disgrace, citizen Bill Clinton, to the office of President, which directly lead to the death of Rick Rescorla and thousands of other Americans. What happened to us? I am sure that probably 99.9% of Americans do not know the name Rick Rescorla, nor do they care about what he did for us. That's not only sad, it's criminal.

Let Bacchus' sons be not dismayed
But join with me, each jovial blade
Come, drink and sing and lend your aid
To help me with the chorus:
Chorus
Instead of spa, we'll drink brown ale
And pay the reckoning on the nail;
No man for debt shall go to jail
From Garryowen in glory.
We'll beat the bailiffs out of fun,
We'll make the mayor and sheriffs run
We are the boys no man dares dun
If he regards a whole skin.
Chorus
Our hearts so stout have got no fame
For soon 'tis known from whence we came
Where'er we go they fear the name
Of Garryowen in glory.

Thank you. My heroes have many names and now Ronnie's is added to the list.

I WILL never forget Ronnie, not Rick, or any of those innocent souls murdered by terrorists over the years, or our brave troops those who have given all, and those who are fighting now to keep us safe from these evil animals. Nor will I ever forget that Bill Clinton as his ilk would rather protect the terrorists than our citizens.

The first duty of a leader is to see to his troops.
The way I understand it, Rick was out of the Towers, and in a position to escape their collapse. But, he went back in to ensure that all of his "troops" were out of the building, and it came down on him.
All gave some, some gave all.
RIP, Rick. In our pantheon of heroes, you are one of ours. Your courage in the face of certain death is an inspiration to a Nation at war.
