I told you privately that I worked with a Lost Platoon member for the past several months, but I didn't know it until the day he departed back to his home base.
The heroes are the quiet, proficient ones. In Rescola's case, he had to get loud when there was a mission to accomplish, and he did.

bttt, thanks for the Rescorla reminder, Ronnie. And stick around. Some of the good ones do die of old age, no matter what Rick used to say.

NEVER FORGET
...On November 2001's Veterans Day Weekend, 2 months after the Attacks of September 11th, I was blessed at the last minute to be able to attend our Annual Battle of IA DRANG Alumni Conference Dinner in Washington, D.C., just one mile from a wounded Pentagon.
...We were honoring the Lifetime Lifesaving Heroism of our newly fallen U.S. 7th Cavalry Brother RICK RESCORLA, where I was further blessed to sit at the table next to a newly widowed Mrs. SUSAN RESCORLA. 'Dateline NBC' TV Cameras were covering everything for a RICK & SUSAN 911 Story that aired the following March.
...After our U.S. 7th Cavalry's dawn Ceremony before the 3rd Panel of the Vietnam Wall the next day ...I was further blessed to be able to pay Honor to our newly fallen HILLARY-Fighting Hero & fellow Freeper 'BKO' BARBARA K. OLSON, at the Pentagon where her Jetliner smashed into the 1st Floor in a Ball of Flames on the morning of September 11, 2001.
T'is now our Loving...

Go to this site at the link and read the story of this incredible man's life. He is a hero in every sense of the word. If not for him, many more would have perished that day in the towers. He gave his life saving others.

Not only did I sign it Ronnie, but I feel very strongly he should be remembered in the annals of history as one of the greatest Americans.
