Did anyone see Brit Hume tonight? I don't know how he kept a straight face while telling us that the name Hillary was one of the top baby names in the 70s and 80s - until 1992 when it plummeted from the most popular charts even faster than Adolf and Ebeneezer had. I loved it!
If she runs, we'll find out that not only is the name unpopular, but the creature itself is.

Dick Morris is on O'Reilly right now talking about Hillary's over-the-weekend pow-wow.
Morris: Dean is still the frontrunner. The only ones to beat Dean are Hillary or Gore. Gore could enter if Dean falls. That could knock Hillary's 08 chance. Hillary has to get Bush reelected for her to enter 08. (Sorry, Dick, I think she can't take that big of a chance--she will run in 04, unless GWB's ratings are in the 60's.)
Morris: Bush "presence" is trying to keep Gore and Clinton out. They must announce by mid-Oct or they lose out.
Morris: Bush can't run on "Iraq" but must go on "Iran"--not a war, per se, but creating Iran as the next devil to be scrutinized.

This Dude ought to be careful,,sometimes what you wish for is what you really don't want. It gives me a headache to think about it. There could be riots, gunplay, family fracases. It would be terrible beyond imagining. I have friends and relatives whose relationships with me would end. We survive by not talking about the Clintons and the Bushes. It is the most divisive terrible election I can imagine. The only worse thing would be a terrorist attack.

How could Gore knock out Hillary? He couldln't win against Bush in my opinion. That would leave it wide open for Hillary in 08.

Yuck... it gags me to even think that Hitlery and W could even be in the same room, much less in a campaign race against together. I personally do not want to watch this particular race. She needs to go retire to a beach in France and stop torturing us.

The nightmare matchup would be GWB against Clinton/Clark.
GWB is not unbeatable (sorry Freepers, but he IS vunerable).
The right Democrat team would automatically pull in the 2000 48% plus independents who like the Dem team.
Expect 2004 to be as much of a cliffhanger and as close as 2000 was.

I dread this election year...no matter who the rat candidate is, remember the broken-glass Republicans...in 2004 there are going to be broken-glass rats...don't ever underestimate the depths they will go to win an election...2000 taught us that.......2004 may end up being another squeaker.

I agree with you,,Bush is beatable by the right combo. I am praying Dean gets it. But Hillary is praying for the same thing. Does that make us allies? Oh, horrid thought.

I agree with you cajungirl - this would be a disaster - the country is divided enough as it is, but to pit clinton against Bush would cause a civil war! Don't think that voters would actually be voting for hilary - those idiots who worship billblythe would be thinking they were returning their golden boy to the throne!

...don't ever underestimate the depths they will go to win an electionI fear the paperless touch screen voting machines. Many people like them because they are so easy to use. Dems probably like them because they are virtually impossible to protect against fraud.

I have Hitlery losing 348-190.

You, probably inadvertently, grammatically linked Hillary! with good and the President with evil.

She needs to go retire to a beach in France and stop torturing us. As much as I dislike the French, I wouldn't wish them such ill will. The vision of Hillary in swimwear on a beach makes my skin crawl.
