[history]
The shot came Saturday while the Nebraska Cornhuskers were beating Oklahoma State in football, and Steve Buganjy thought the Westwood Heights Golf Course would be relatively empty because of the game.
It gave his son a chance to swing at the ball on a golf course instead of a driving range and not feel pressured by onlookers.

Now he's hooked for life, faced with a future of nothing but decades of frustration.
What a horrible thing to happen to a kid.

I wonder if he is related to Kim Il Sung. Beat me to it!
On his first day of golf, Dear Leader got 18 hole-in-ones.

I did a similar thing. First shot off the first tee. Never made Par for a hole again.

I remember a story on here several months ago about a guy who took his wife golfing and she got a hole in one on her first hole ever!

I used to be a terrible golfer until I lost the use of my left arm. Now I really stink (as a golfer). Best I every did was 93 (cheating too). Now I can't break 110 (cheating).
The only fun I have golfing now is irritating my friends, and the golfers behind me, by taking so long.

Whle I don't golf I once experienced a similar situation on a first date. I never played that course again though...

I wonder if it was the father or the son who bought the round for everybody on the 19th.....

While I don't golf I once experienced a similar situation on a first date. I never played that course again though...lol... When I was in my 20's (back in the 60's) it was common to hook-up with a female for a week or 2, sometimes a month or 2. No one really had feelings for each other (though we all pretended). During that period, I, also, experienced many such situations. Now that I've been married for 32 years (to the same female), I found my game has slipped and I'm no longer a par hitter.

One time in 1984, I got a birdie.
I was very proud.

Hard to believe, as I've never seen a par 3 as an opening hole on any regular course.

"On his first day of golf, Dear Leader got 18 hole-in-ones." Kim Jong-Il also never misses a basket on the basketball court, can't swing a bat without hitting a home run, can beat all comers at ping-pong without using a paddle and can shoot the wings off a fly at 100 paces, over his shoulder and blindfolded, too.
You should see him buzz through Rubik's cubes, or play flawless Jimi Hendrix solos on his electric guitars. He can draw a perfect circle by holding a pen in his mouth, can "name that tune" in zero notes and mentally calculated the world's largest known prime number.
Leading scientists now endorse his "Theory of Absolutivity" as superior to Einstein's Theory of Relativity. He can read people's minds and is capable of levitation and unassisted flight.
He's a real demon at the chess table, too. >:^)
