Have I told you lately that I love you.. ;)

Have I told you lately that I love you....  ;)

How is it that we can go through life taking for granted all of those wonderful people that make life worth living, without ever telling them?

How could we be so distracted that we overlook the importance of the devotion, caring, and warmth that our loved ones provide?

What would you do if tomorrow they were simply gone, vanished ..forevere..?  How would you feel?   What was the last thing you said to them?  What would you say to bring them back? What would you do differently?

What if I told you that it isn't too late to say what you really feel to all of the special people that make such a difference in your world.....

...and to all of those special souls that are waiting for us...

Tell them... tell them now...

Have I told you.. how much I love you Freepers..

well, just in case.. I'm telling you now... I love you.... sealed with a kiss

So important to tell our loved ones how we feel, and often! And to cherish each day.

Prairie, you can't go wrong with an attitude like that.. everyone should follow your lead..thanks

You are soooo right to post your thoughts. I fret and freak a lot about different trials, problems, etc., but then I think of the wonderful blessings God has put into my life--the most beautiful, caring loved ones a guy could have-- it's a bit overwhelming. God has been so merciful and gracious to me. I wish it was easier for me to keep at the frint of my mind always.

I only wish I could bring half the joy and peace to my loved ones as they've brought to me.

Thanks for your thoughts. Keep on letting your loved ones know of your appreciation. Value every moment. God bless.

This only goes to show that real men DO eat quiche. Carlo, you have been a good friend. I promise you many hugs when you come to N.Y.
BTW, your pasta salad is delicious. We sampled it warm last night.

On the day my father's teenage son made the long walk down the concourse (on his way to the Army during the great Cold War), my father was not there, having passed four years before. I have no memory of him having ever kissed me.

My 6-year-old son has not passed a day of his life without a kiss from his father if he was in range.

Some things are just too precious to skip.

Many thanks for spreading some love amongst us freepers. It's always a good day to express appreciation for this awesome bunch of people. We come from so many different backgrounds, yet found one another in cyberspace and bonded just like real friends, which, in fact, we are.

Your web site is terrific! Gee, I love guys who can cook--a gene that somehow skipped a generation in my family. I'm a total dweeb in the kitchen, though my dad ran a restaurant corporation with headquarters in Chicago. I grew up traveling all over the place eating great food, which I appreciate to the max, especially since making it remains one of life's greatest mysteries to me. Your kids are lucky! My daughter loved to cook from the time she was in grade school, so at least someone put decent meals on the table. LOL.

Big freeper hug to you, Carlo. Thanks for brightening my day.

Can anyone reading these posts deny that FReepers are the most amazing people in the world? There isn't a website anywhere on the WWW were you can find such warmhearted, intelligent, savvy.. stubborn, funny, wacky folks to gather in one place, that have so little yet so much in common...

Thanks very much for the ping; what a kind expression of respect. I've often likened FR to the neighborhood saloon where you can see and hear all kinds and still come back for more. If I wasn't such a tightass I could loosen up enough to give you a hug, but as one of my sisters remarked many moons ago referring to my demeanor, "...don't let him scare you. He was born in striped pants."

You have a gift, carlo, and I can at least treasure your good fortune if not return it in kind.

I remember the Friday nights in Calumet City.... The whole family got together to play cards, and we pigged out on pizza from John's in Chicago.

I can STILL taste that heavenly pizza! We moved down here in the '50's and Texans didn't even know what "pizza" meant in those days, LOL!
