Ickes has formed a 'soft money group' which could benefit HRC, and, again, some high level mtg about the possibility of her running. ..Nachman and Bill Press will be discussing this SOON on msnbc...tune in NOW.

Gosh, aren't we surprised? She said she wasn't going to run and didn't we believe her?

Plus, Americans won't vote a person whose butt is bigger than the national debt.

She'll get 42%, the same percentage her reputed husband Bill got in 1992. But a 58%-42% loss is a landslide by anyone's estimation.

Thank you much for the ping! Wonder if Dean's people are looking for the dirt. I would love to see her go against him in a Debate. Kerry and the rest seem chicken, but don't think Dean will take kindly to her getting in the race late.

Maybe we should start sending the Dean campaign all the dirt on Hillary that we all know about.

Someone said yesterday just bring up the terrorist that the Clintons pardoned and that would do it. She will never get any traction here in flyover country. She is the Republican's best fundraiser -- she gives to a candidate and the Republican rakes in the dollars. She is absolutely despised here in Oklahoma.

In 1996 when I lived in Texas, Hillary decided to go through the Hill Country for Bill's campaign -- she made two or three stops and quit the tour and returned to D.C. There were more demonstators then supporters down there.

Then Bill made a campaign stop in San Antonio on a Saturday morning which my oldest daughter covered for her college paper. The Clinton campaign put the local reporters in the back tent (my daughter was only a Freshman on her first assignment outside the University), and wouldn't allow any locals near the President. In a city the size of San Antonio they estimated the crowd size was about 2,000. Not even sure it was that because the other two kids were with me in Rivercenter Mall (refused to attend anything Clinton) and when the rally let out not that many people came into the Mall. Since the rally was back by the Alamo, I would have figured that a lot would come into the mall. A few did though and go boo'd as they carried their clinton/gore signs through the Mall. It was priceless! My daughter said the only way you could come up with 2,000 was to count all the local press and security and even then it was stretching it. A city of a million and only 2,000 go see Clinton.

Think that is exactly what you would find as she campaigned in the southern part of the US. The Clintons are HATED in Oklahoma because of the Clintons taking advantage of the OKC Bombing to spread their lies. If she runs, I want a picture of that mural hanging in the Bombing Memorial Museum plastered everywhere. At the Memorial Service she looks like the cat that swallowed the canary along with Bill while everyone else is mourning.

Ready for her to run to take them both down permanently in this Country!

MIAPS

I know I should know what MIAPS stands for, but I don't. What's that?

I think she will trigger a Civil War in the Democratic Party. Many Dean supporters are not happy with the Clintons. I do not agree with Dean, but I will respect the man for stating his position even when it was not popular to say so. The Dean Democrats are yearning for a person who argues from principle and not focus group results like Bill Clinton. If Hillary jumps into the fray in an attempt to undermine Dean, I think she will trigger a bitter Civil War in the Democratic Party to the point where if she won the Primary by brute party manueuver she will find most of the Dean supporters sitting at home on Election Day or voting for the Green Party. GWB in 2004!!!!

She's got no chance. Here in liberal CT, I asked all my Dem friends and only one said they would definitely vote for her heinous.

Thanks for the ping.

I'm not saying he has it- he's anti-military in my book, basically openly critizing his country mid-war. But the sheeple will like his credentials.

>> Even most of the stark raving morons who voted for her perverted husband wouldn't vote to put her in charge of national security in times like these. <<

Don't be too sure about that. I remember hearing a quote posted on FR from a Hitlery supporter. Something to the effect of "We love Hillary, we don't care about the truth."

There are way too many libs lacking brains. They will vote for the shrew if it runs.

Agreed, if HRC vs GWB is the lineup, things will get nasty. I'm not dismissing the possibility that she could win either.

Man, with Hillary at the controls, you can bet that she would "change this country back" to the US of Bill in no time. She would have no qualms about issuing executive orders on religion, gun control, you name it. Screw congress and screw The People. I can't think about it.

Which Phil Hendrie? The weirdo with no brains?

No, the fat, bald weirdo. He's the only radio personality who ever got so much as an involuntary chuckle from me. Actually it happened twice, but not recently. He also did the best Iraq war reporting of anybody, anywhere. That old sack.

I think the constant whispering about a Hillary run in 2004 is only intended to set her up in 2008. A big loss by Dean, and the desperate Democrats will be begging Hillary to go for it. She will hit the ground running almost immediately following the 2004 loss and there will be no Democrat challengers.

It is in her best interest to continually undermine the current Democrat candidates. The bigger the loss and humiliation in 2004, the more power that she will have on the day after.

Just my view.

At first I thought HRC would wait until late this year (between Turkey-Day and X-Mas) to jump into the race.

She can't wait that long, because she has to register for inclusion in the early primaries. I'd guess her entry would be predicated on how her campaign powwow next week evaluates the chances of the strong Dean and possible Clark entry. If they determine there are better than even odds for either of those, she'll enter - not to win, but to be sure no other Dem does thus messing up her 2008 bid. Odds of her resigning her Senate seat to run? Zilch and None.

No way she resigns her senate seat. She is going to hedge all her bets.

Of course, just as LIEberman didn't resign his seat. At least Bob Dole did.

"I have been hearing noises about HRC running with Clark as VP candidate...."

Such noises are akin to rude bodily noises. :-)

I'm not so sure of that, Rome. It's amazing the number of people who think she's terrific here. I don't number myself among them but I sure do hear them talk. It is scary!
