First of all, the tug of war between the country club liberals who run the Party and the average moderate to conservative Republican who votes is the main reason we keep losing elections. The "top" wishes to inflict an agenda on the populace and refuses to support and sell good candidates. So the major battle here is CA is within. The Dems know this and play it to their advantage every time (along with copious amounts of voter fraud).

Moderate California voters have largely gone independent, not Democrat. In fact, Republican registration in this state is increasing at a faster pace than Dem registration. Those stats have been posted here in the last few months. If someone would do something about the voter fraud here you would see even greater change.

As for judges, your naivete is cute. Our state judges are largely moderate to conservative having been appointed by Deukmejian and Wilson. It's the FEDERAL judges who are the whackjobs.

Since you despise California and Californians, why bother clicking on these threads? Surely you have better places to go?

It's just politics, I have nothing but cold contempt for the whole process... but, at least I know my leaders are people I can have absolutely no faith in what so ever... Hey, I hear the Anglican Church is hiring degenerates today and that the 10 commandments are obescene.... I knew I wasn't that bad of a guy, I think I'll smoke some crack and run for mayor... or, if I'm really ernest, maybe rape an intern and run for president!!!

Oowww, that negates your whole first two paragraphs and makes you seem like a scardy cat.

he DENIED having ever done ANY drugs of ANY kind in a 1988 interview with Playboy.

I'm specualting but probably this was a sign of the times plus maturity. Back in the 70s drugs were wdiely used and accepted - all the cool people partook and he was young. By 88 we had had 8 years of a "Just Say No" campaign plus he was older and wiser and most likely didn't want to be a bad influence on the kiddies - and yes kids read playboy even though it's illegal for them to buy it.

Someone else came up with it on Freerepublic.

I've also heard of Brutus-amante, after the backstabbing Roman Senator.

Somebody needs to contact the Arnold for Governor campaign!

Yup, at least as to the federal APPELLATE judges in the 9th Circus. (Don't get me wrong; there are good conservatives and libertarians on there too ... but Reinhardt, Pregerson, Paez, Fletcher, Fletcher, Berzon and the rest have got the good guys outvoted.)

No, actually it doesn't. I've got this far in my life on my own and I am afraid of no one. I genuinely do not understand why people who despise us click on these threads.

You know what, and I mean this in all kindness. You and I exist in totally different universes. I can't understand where you're coming from either.

I give. I'll let you have the last word.

In 1977 I was running around in Toughskin bellbottoms and watching "Fat Albert."

Arnold should just ignore this non-story and stay focused on the issues.

I agree, totally different universes. Thank you for acknowledging this, and thank you for the last word. Good night.

I wonder, who will get more votes from Democrats, Bustamante or Schwarzenegger?

That should give everyone a clue.

Vote for a Republican. Vote for McClintock. There is nothing to lose.

We're talking about the period of time after 1977, and what we (and the Democrats) might or might not know about Arnold's personal life since then.

You appear to believe it's all settled. I don't see how we can know, for sure.

Do you even live in CA?

Yes, in the Sacramento area.

What ticks me off most about AS is his stance on gun control, I cannot compromise on that. I think he would do a great job fiscally, but I am not going to compromise my personal principles..I also think voting AS into the office would result in dumbing down of the Republican party to the point that there will be no difference between Republicans and Democrats at a national level. Regarding gay issues, I can care less, they bore me.

I do it for the amusement, mostly, especially for the "country club" epithet. Populist envy really isn't a positive model for you to base a political movement on.
