Is that: Vote for Arnold, he's rich! I think the Rockefellers patented that slogan. They weren't very Republican either and the latest generation runs as an admitted Demonrat in West Virginia. You have a choice:
You may take a shot at getting half a loaf. Arnold is not my first choice, either, but he is half a loaf.
Or you may hold you breath until you get a full loaf.
Asphyxiation is reputed to be a very unpleasant way to die.
California is much more liberal than it was in 1966. You have a choice: get a little of what you want, or get nothing of what you want.
I'll tell you what: I will vote for McClintock October 7th...if you agree to pay for my tripled car tax that Busta Rhymes will keep in place after he wins. If Arnold wins, and the car tax remains tripled, then I'll pay it myself. Deal?

Arnold is pro 187, 13...
Pro business and has been successful at business.
He is liked by most in the state whereas the others are not known outside of the talk radio crowd.
Arnold isn't the worst and when you consider a vote for another gets you Cruz Bustamante, Arnold looks better all the time.
In any case, after the debate on th 17th, two other Republicans need to get out and back the front runner. That much we all agree on.

Arnold has been involved in business and also various charities.
He has donated millions of his own loot to good causes, so there has been money money money involved for sure. But that was a good thing.

Your taxes are staying up and going up in any event. That is the wage of a $35 billion deficit being addressed this year by the tripled car tax among many other things and next year's minimal $20 billion dollar budget. Glenda, the Good Witch of the North, is not going to wave a magic wand for Schwarzenkennedy or Bustamante or Doofus or anyone else to resolve the spendaholic habits that got California into this mess. McClintock will wear out his veto power next year and will at least TRY to cut your taxes and will get them lower than otherwise they might be by vetoing spending programs.
Just last year, Schwarzenkennedy effectively said that Doofus, even Doofus, was too cheap with public schools. The genius California electorate heeded his call and layered another half billion in lard on the useless schools for Arnold's after-class babysitting scheme. But, hey, that Arnold is a tight-fisted guy. He only wants to outspend Doofus by a half a billion on gummint skewel schemes and Arnold and Buffet and Wilson only know how much more on how many other schemes. Like Everett Dirksen used to say: A billion for this, a couple billon for that, a half billion for something else and pretty soon we are talking real money! He was being sarcastic. Arnold does not know any better. Wilson does and so does Buffett but they are the premier liars in Calipolitics at the moment other than Doofus.
So Arnold gets you half the loaf or half (your number: that's 50% not 5% and not -10%) the distance between Doofus and sanity. Go ahead. Prove it by Arnold's words and Arnold's deeds. This ought to be good.
One last question, since Prop. 13 required 2/3 vote of the General Assembly for the car tax hike, and the budget was delayed and the Demonrats in the alleged People's Demonratic Republic of California lack a 2/3 representation in either house, who were the RINOs who voted to triple your car tax? Who are they supporting for governor? How did McClintock vote in the Senate? What did Arnold DO to oppose the tripling of your car tax BEFORE it got tripled? Why not?
Reality time!
If Arnold is not your first choice, you are being gulled by pros into voting your money into their pockets.

I had a nice chat with a BUNCH of conservative business people who all said the same thing. "When is McClintock going to get the H out of there so Bustamante doesn't win". Every intelligent person I know has the same opinion. I still feel the sting of 1992 when Clinton won with 42% of the vote, thanks to all those 'principled' Perot voters.
NEVER FORGET.

Uh-huh.
We are overtaxed. The fact that we're overspending is Doofus' fault, because the man is a complete wuss who cannot say "no" to any Dem constituency.
So you refused the challenge.
You know how this election's going to go already, because little Tommy, who has no chance whatsoever of winning, will split the vote to satisfy his ego.
"One last question, since Prop. 13 required 2/3 vote of the General Assembly for the car tax hike, and the budget was delayed and the Demonrats in the alleged People's Demonratic Republic of California lack a 2/3 representation in either house, who were the RINOs who voted to triple your car tax?"
Uh, guess what? They didn't.
Davis raised it unilaterally, and Dem governors will fight it out as long as they can. You're committed to supporting the Dems on this issue.

No, we don't all agree. Warren Buffett is pro business and successful at business. He is no Republican as we well know.
It is easy to be pro-Proposition 187. Neither Prop 187 nor anything remotely like it will ever be implemented without a rather unlikely modification of the Fourteenth Amendment. Prop. 187 blatantly violated the Fourteenth Amendment and you are being lied to by anyone who says otherwise. This is a well-settled area of law. The equal protection clause protects PERSONS not merely CITIZENS. The due process clause protects mere citizens but the courts tend to read the equal protection clause to require due process for illegal immigrants as well. Talk is cheap where action is prohibited by the courts. Just as a pro-life statement by Arnold will save not one child, so his support for 187 (if it is not merely the foldable result of his issue polling).
You may believe or disbelieve him on Prop. 13. No one is going to change that either without instant and permanent castration by the taxpayers.
What are Arnold's specific plans to resolve your state's debts?
Since Arnold's moral stands are not distinguishable from Mary Carey's and, forgive my prejudice, she is a lot more attractive, give the lady some encouragement for at least being specific.
If you are so afraid of Bustamante anmd presumably Republicans are expressing their fears publicly in California of "Mexifornia" and "Atzlan" and what not, and given that Latios will soon be a majority of your state, how do project the future of the GOP in California where Wilson is a four-letter word among Mexicans?

Actually 187 was left to die in court by Davis who did not appeal the liberal court.
A conservative Governor of CA would be able to again take up that appeal.
13 is no doubt, he always supported it and was a keynote speaker at the recent anniversary.
Arnold wants more cuts in spending and the last thing he wants is a tax increase, but he is unwilling to fall into the trap of saying he would "NEVER" raise them as Bush #1 did.
Wilson isn't running, Arnold is!
Arnold is electable which is more than what I can say for some candidates only backed by conservative radio talk show listeners.

Maybe you can explain the constitutional political process by which Doofus can unilaterally raise a tax by tripling it without legislative approval. There must be a lawyer somewhere in California who will want to make a prompt BIG name for himself by taking that scheme down. I know that McClintock plans on taking it to initiative. If the governor can act unilaterally, when will we hear Ahhhhhnold pledge to reduce it to its original level unilaterally or abolish it altogether? Why not?
Maybe you can answer the other questions I posed in #245. If you cannot, may we conclude the answers will not serve Arnoldmania? In northwest Illinois, we have no car taxes despite Boss Daley, the Chicago Machiner, et al. I'll [pay mine. You pay yours. We each get to bear the chain we forged in life, like Jacob Marley. Our income taxes are far lowwer than yours. Our property taxes seem competitive so long as one prudently avoids living in big Demonrat cities.
I am pretrty sure that I know how the election is going to go and it will not be to Arnold. That is not the result of an ego trip of McClintock. He is doing the necesary job of retaining the existence of Republicanism in California in the wierd circumstance of no primary. You are frustrated because many will not be steamrolled into voting for a Demonrat in drag. You did not take up the challenges in #245. You probably won't. That is understandable.
I'll tell you if I am committed to something. It won't be car taxes. I would file the suit if I lived there. I don't have standing since I don't pay it. You do have standing. Do something about it and I don't mean that you should trust Arnold, Buffett and Wilson.

The key issue is that the courts can't enjoin collection of the higher tax until the appellate process is completed.
So he gets the money.
And you're perfectly content to allow Busta Rhymes to continue looting my pocketbook. <
If the governor can act unilaterally, when will we hear Ahhhhhnold pledge to reduce it to its original level unilaterally or abolish it altogether?
He's already done so. DO try to keep up.

Read the Fourteenth Amendment. Prop. 187 was dead on arrival. Doofus did not appeal because he wants to stroke the cultivated Mexican constituency that Wilson threw away. The Republicans would cater to the bordermania types and appeal and lose the appeal. Schwarzenkennedy is as much a conservative as Bobby Kennedy or the Arkansas Antichrist. How does Arnold's quoted statement that every child, including illegal immigrant children deserve a public school education at taxpayer expense square with his stated support (opportunistic????) for the unenforceable Prop. 187?
Have you got any proof published in 1978 of Arnold's position or is he just looking at those issue polls and discovering retroactively where he should have stood in 1978? Last year he led an initiative to ADD not SUBTRACT from the most wasteful bureacratic budget in your or any other state: public schools, this time for baby-sitting. You don't deny that, do you?
Perhaps, most importantly, yes, Arnold is running but WILSON IS RUNNING ARNOLD! (Godfather theme/Marionette strings/the Schwarzendroid reacts to each tug on the strings).

Well, dear, I know that cheapskatism does not make a majority in any state much less in spendaholic California. You guys try to win this one without the social conservatives. You better get Schwarzenkennedy in sack cloth and ashes, firing Buffett and Wilson, and pushing a peanut with his nose and I don't mean a week before October 7. When you lose, don't say you weren't warned.
So what is gray in California other than your governor and your gubernatorial prospects and the drab nature of the fiscally obsessive wing of the GOP there? "Polo players of California unite, you have nothing to lose but your investment taxes and a world to win!"

Well then, assuming that you are accurate, you are in even worse shape than I thought. Be merciful to Arnold because he wants to preside over paying the illegal loot back. That will be on top of the projected $20 billion deficit for the coming year. The Demonrats would successfully pin the blame on Ahhhhnold who is too much of a naif to know howm to fight back. Beat Arnold for his sake and yours. This is no time for amateur hour. Reagan knew what he was doing. Schwarzenkennedy does not. How will he pay for the car tax revenue Doofus is spending WITHOUT cutting programs or raising taxes? Maybe Tinkerbelle will scatter some Pixie Dust for him? Although he politically snuggles the pixies, I don't think so!

I think it was the ABC that had him higher. Actually, it was the ABC poll I cited. You pay attention very well...do you william?
I looked at the link South40 posted. It was not the ABC poll, but the "exclusive" SurveyUSA poll. These same folks have Carol Mosely-Braun with a healthy lead in the Illinois Primary for Prez. I live in Illinois. That survey is nuts. In any event, nobody knows what the turn-out is going to be, so the polls mean less than GOTV, unless enough folks are willing to make the polls a self-fulfilling prophecy.
