Money isn't everthing, BUT IT'S THE REASON GRAY DAVIS IS BEING RECALLED.

Well I am glad you are posting here and be sure to post back if McC doesn't gain ground but still stays in to split the vote for Bustamante.

It happens all the time in CA and frankly there isn't a person's opinion about a candidate that is going to impress me when they can't muster more than a tiny percentage of the vote.

I am not saying McC isn't a great guy and a fantastic conservative. I am saying based on my years of experience following these races, that this race was going to go to the Democrats before Arnold entered.
Arnold is electable, but McC might be able to spoil.

McC isn't prepare to win at this time. Almost nobody in the state knows the guy except for conservative talk show listeners.

Many want to claim some principles as an issue, doesn't work for me because getting a Democrat elected in the name of your principles is a waste of good air.

Thanks for your post and I am glad you are posting your views.
Have a great day!

Nope because that's exactly my thoughts on the subject.

Jim didn't find the need to list all those policies for what is probably well into the thousandth, if not ten thousandth time.

Take a look at this post. See if you can find anything to agree with in it.

No, the same conservative business people who create all the jobs, pay the majority of taxes that hate to yet again see Republicans eat their own over an unelectable McC.

They all are saying, nobody had heard of this guy outside of talk radio, he can't get any votes outside of the political right, so why is he in this still when he can only spoil the chances of a candidate who can win.

They feel he is getting Bustamante elected.
We've done that before in California and will do it again.

Maybe some day people will learn and quit repeating this mistake over and over again in the name of principles by way of their pride!

Repeat WHAT mistakes? Conservatives swallowed hard and voted for RINOs Lungren, Fong, and Tom Campbell. Guess what? They all lost.

Not at all. I had a precious Mexican baby sitter for quite a while. And we kept in touch--I saw her at my grandmother's funeral more than 20 years ago. She has since passed on herself. A precious saint.

As usual, you are barking up the wrong tree.

Your convolutions become more and more an approximation of a big bowl of spaghetti arranged by a drunken liberal in a hurricane.

Which, being interpreted, means

A MESS!

Speaking as one of the 95% of FReepers who aren't in California and don't know McClintock at all, but aware that if McClintock does well in this special election he might become important nationally and is apparently qualified to be President, which some of the other candidates are not, could we be favored with a review of McClintock's stands and platform on various issues of interest to California and possibly to the country at large? Probably for the 100th time, but all I've seen so far is bashing of other Rs and Ahnold's various campaign statements and appointments.

Which shows you how much of an enemy territory California has become for conservatives.

We did it to ourselves with Simon over Riordan and got Davis re-elected.

Arnold would be a lock if McC got out and endorsing him.

We have to see where all this is at the time of the debates the 17th, shortly there after something needs to be done and a couple of candidates need to be dropping out or become known as the spoiler that got Bustamante elected.

A51 are these your lines?:

We get the government we deserve. Evidently some want a gun grabbing, abortion loving, socialist for govenor.

Qx: People often get the gov they deserve.

Seems to me, that instead of pushing for a vote for Arnold, they would be wanting Davis to remain. After all that is what he stands for.

Qx: PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me introduce you to a bi-polar construct you seem to be exceedingly ignorant of. It is the very useful one:

DIFFERENT/SAME

For example, you seem to EQUATE as IDENTICAL Grey Sewerwater Davis and Arnold.

Now, EQUATE and IDENTICAL belong on the side of SAME in terms of the above construct (DIFFERENT/SAME).

Now, I'm not remotely sure how you manage to get your shoes on the right feet in the morning given the difficulty you seem to be having with this construct of DIFFERENT/SAME. Your shoes may be both yours. In that they are similar--even the same in terms of ownership.

And, they are part of the same pair with the same style and color [one hopes].

But it must begin to give you fits when you confront the issue of left and right shoes. You must have a compulsive urge to equate them as identical until some toes start screaming that something is not fitting quite right.

Perhaps you have a twin brother. Perhaps he chose a SIMILAR pair of shoes. They are NOT THE SAME=IDENTICAL but they are the same style and brand but a different color.

Now, technically, you could each trade one shoe--assuming you are identical twins--and your toes might be quite happy. In a sense, it would be true to say, you are wearing shoes that are the same.

They are owned by the same family. They are the same brand. They are the same style. They are the same size. They are not the same color. That means they are a DIFFERENT color.

Evidently you think this sort of DIFFERENCE is the SAME sort of difference between Grey Sewerwater Davis and Arnold. You are entitled to your moot opinion on the matter--though it seems rather a sad exercise of whatever brain power you are devoting to it.

At one level, it's a moot distinction or lack of distinction; a moot discrimination or lack of discrimination.

I'd guess at least 1/3 up to 2/3rds of the people voting for Arnold will not have the slightest concerns about how DIFFERENT OR THE SAME ARNOLD IS ON ANY PHILOSOPHICAL/POLITICAL ISSUE.

THEY WILL BE QUITE DELIGHTED ENOUGH THAT HE IS

DIFFERENT

FROM THE POLITICAL MACHINE ON EITHER SIDE OF THE SAME OLD POLITICAL GAMES AS USUAL.

THEY WILL BE QUITE DELIGHTED ENOUGH THAT HE HAS NO NEED OR INTEREST IN THE *******SAME******* SORT OF CONTRIBUTIONS OTHERS ARE COLLECTING FROM SPECIAL INTERESTS.

THEY WILL BE QUITE DELIGHTED ENOUGH THAT HE HAS *******DIFFERENT******* MONEY.

It may well be that Arnold will turn out to be some sort of evil stealth candidate from the globalist puppet masters. Though, I suspect, that even if he is set-up that way--HE WILL HAVE SOME SURPRISES IN STORE EVEN FOR THEM. I believe Arnold has not fallen at all that far from his rearing and whole train of life experiences.

His past skills and values about hard work, financial horse sense etc. are likely to stand tall in any administration he leads.

He has spent a lot of his adult life telling bad guys to go do pretzel things with short objects in dark holes. I suspect he has enjoyed such roles immensely. He's likely to continue doing so in grander ways with more seriously real and constructive outcomes than his movie personna has enjoyed on the screen.

In ANY CASE, IT IS ALL MOOT.

He will capture the hearts and certainly the imaginations of such a string of categories of the electorate that at some point, no one will touch him in percentages of the electorate devoted to him. Voting for him will be akin to attacking the ET mother ships in ID-4. It will push men and women's buttons, hoplessness/despair stuff bringing them for the first time in a long time hope that SOMETHING MIGHT REALLY CHANGE in Sacramento.

Maybe it won't. But the hope that it might will be more powerful a drug than heroine. The electorate is so cynnical and despairing--only Arnold can push those buttons.

It doesn't even really matter if he's white, black, from Mars, Venus or the local AA meeting. HE IS PERCEIVED as a potential savior bigger than life. That will be enough to gain tens of thousands, millions of votes.

It won't even matter if internally he's more devious and full of more globalist evil than Grey Sewerwater Davis or Shrillery Antoinette de Fosterizer de Machiavelli de Sade. Masses of people are going to vote for him. The worst that can occur is some splitting of the Republican vote so much that CruzdeMexico gets in. But I suspect that Arnold could even win over the split vote and Cruz-full-of-beans.

Alas, I'm wasting my time probably.

If you really have a difficult time SIMILAR to that which BlackElk seems to have . . . then my poor words above will be more of the SAME to you--gibberish.

We shall see who is more right.

I do thank God that I live in Illinois where conservatives are conservatives and Republicans are Republicans not money obsessives. Whether you elect Ahhhhnold or Cruz or Doofus, you get your taxes jacked in any event. If you happen to elect the droid, you will never hear the end of it from us us, as the droid, listening to birdbrain Wilson, raises your taxes, raises your spending....... and proves to be the RINO we all know him to be and that many but not you admit him to be.

You are living in a state where many think Arnold, Planned Barrenhood Wilson and Buffett are Republican and even conservative but those who point out that the droid who would be governor is no better than Bustamante or Doofus are stupid???? Truly remarkable. Back to your hot tub, dear.

Your words are gibberish and they do not prove a single difference between Schwarzenkennedy and the other Demonrats in this race. You will not discuss the issues or Arnold's leftism for obvious reasons. You guys can try to stampede the herd all you like. You run an increasing chance of having the party base stay home and leaving Doofus in office. How the heathen would wail then. Or, or, or maybe an actual Mexican might wind up elected (lions and tigers and bears, oh my!!!) Get used to it. Soon the Mexicans will be a majority whether you like it or not. The California GOP will adapt through social conservatism or it will morph into a total post office GOP like, say, the Louisiana GOP of 1936.

Arnold had better have fallen far from his rearing. You brought that up. I did not. You are wasting your time definitely. If I remember correctly, you are the psychobabble therapist. You know that Arnold does not get the core vote on October 7. If he were to be elected, there should be NO honeymoon. Fortunately, there will be no opportunity for one.

Guns, babies, taxes, spending, lavenders. Oh-for-5! Arnold is no more GOP than Cruz just less Mexican. Arnold is no more GOP than Doofus, just a newer liar with more muscles.

Prove that you want to beat Hillary. Where does Mrs. Antichrist differ from Schwarzenkennedy other than not being related to the royals at Hyannisport?

Hey, nomnate Maxine Waters or Cruz as Republicans and the surrender monkey wing of the California GOP is sure to win!!!!!! If there were a GOP primary, we wouldn't even be having this conversation because Arnold would not dare run.

That's, ummmm, MIGHT be rcalled if you do not so PO the socially conservative party base as to tempt folks to just stay home the way the RINOs did on Simon last year.

Is that: Vote for Arnold, he's rich! I think the Rockefellers patented that slogan. They weren't very Republican either and the latest generation runs as an admitted Demonrat in West Virginia.

State the differences and prove it to prove that is well known. Pete Wilson is the perfect anti-Republican RINO Riordan actually funded Waters Congressional campaigns. Show me the differences and what Arnold has SAID or DONE to prove it.
