**I wish Rudy would get geared up for a race against Hitlery.**

He will, don't worry. But then that leaves her out in the cold pining for the White House.

Is it still pending, dead, or what?

It contains examples of how abortion can be even further promoted at the state level, contrary to the false suggestion otherwise.

I don't care for snowe...
but I do prefer a dreaded "RINO" who votes "with us" half the time, than a democrat that votes against us "every time."

"true conservatives" stubbornly refuse to get it... preferring to criticise whoever is elected for not being as "holier than thou" as they are, than to elect anyone who MIGHT support their cause sixty percent of the time.

a very foolish and dangerous tack to take.

Examples.... I see. Nothing on the legislative docket and pending at this time..... Guess the Democrat controlled legislature can bring something up and most likely pass it at their will, is that it? Do they veto proof majorities?

And Arnold would sign it.

hypotheticals:
Arnold is NOT yet governor, so you don't KNOW what he will or won't sign. You are presuming to know what he will and will not sign. Maybe if he got a call from McC in the state senate, and Bush about vetoing it AFTER he was elected... he would do just that. Maybe not.
YOU cannot possibly KNOW.

It is patently dishonest to imply that you do.
Furthermore that law has not been signed yet... so it's not even a law... once again, NOT a real situation... your twin hypotheticals, "if it passes" and "he will sign it." Neither established.

I will buy a new dictionary, if you stop using the same old "straw man" arguments based on unknowable hypotheticals as your only debate and discussion approaches.

hypotheticals

No, DoughtyOne parroted the old falsehood that abortion didn't involve state government. He was provided with a recent actual counterexample right here in California and he wilted.

Arnold is NOT yet governor, so you don't KNOW what he will or won't sign.

On Fox News's "O'Reilly Factor," on Aug. 16, 2000, Schwarzenegger described himself as "extremely liberal" on social issues, and said: "I'm for choice. The women should have the choice. The women should decide what they want to do with their bodies. I'm all for that."
Was he lying again?

Yet Reagan failed to end the Department of Education, continued to fund US involvement in the UN, bailed out of Lebanon at the first sign of trouble, signed a tax increase in 1986, granted amnesty to illegal aliens, and as Governor placed state withholding on paychecks, signed a tax increase in 1967, and signed the nation's most liberal abortion bill.
I love the guy, but even he compromised when it wasn't essential to the big picture.
What!
Reagan was a RINO!!!
Is it too late to dump him, and bring back Jimmie Carter?
Who cares if he rebult the American military, prepared the way for the greatest peacetime expansion of the U.S. economy, took down the Evil Soviet Empire, and made people proud to be Americans...
There can be NO EXCUSE for being a RINO!!!

Reagan actually agreed with conservatives on at least a few issues. There's no evidence of that with Arnold.
