Rush Limbaugh Not Welcome at ESPN, Says Sports Ilustrated Editor

I don't want to listen to Rush Limbaugh. I just don't need the aggravation. We simply disagree on too many issues. The bombastic, nationally syndicated radio talk show host has pummeled just about anyone who isn't a card-carrying citizen of his vision of good ol' white-bread U.S. of A. That would include feminists, gays, blacks, immigrants -- if I left anyone out, please raise your hand!

He said Rush "pummeled" blacks and others who don't share his vision of "good ol' white-bread U.S. of A."

He said that Rush will so offend the black relatives of NFL players that they will not watch his show.

Admit you jerked your knee to defend the columnist before even reading the piece.

Golly, I love it when leftists get their panties in a bunch when their views are being challenged.

Especially when those views are challenged by the one person can carve them up like a Thanksgiving turkey, and on national TV, no less.

When we come together in our stadiums and arenas to cheer for our teams,...

Is it just me, or are the fans shown on TV 98% to 2% white, and on the field it's the opposite?

Amazing, this guy has the whole pie and wants to control the microphone too. In the getto, schools and churchs, they get away with their 'brainwashing', but now Rush has cracked open the door. That what's bothering him, poor guy.

Politics, no matter the slant, simply has no place in our sports arenas.

This, after spending the whole column telling us the reason he hates Rush Limbaugh is due to his politics....

Listen to your own sermon jerk!

Bo Snerdly is the official "Program Observer" for Rush's show. He came back at the height of Rush's deafness to be Rush's ears (he typed comments about callers on Rush's screen while a secretary transcribed the caller's verbatim words). I'm not really sure exactly what he does now but he is still part of the staff.

I think Rush relates to and represents NFL players in one of the most important ways-----Rush is very wealthy, and NFL players tend to be likewise. Any NFL player who pays attention to his paycheck and his accountant realizes that he's getting screwed by government. Roy Johnson should probably check on the actual opinions of NFL players before he purports to speak for them and their alleged disagreement with Rush.

Bo Snerdly also used to have his own weekend show on WABC in New York (as James Golden, not Bo Snerdly).

Seems like a simple enough thing to do . Mr. Johnson seems to have forgotten the simple concept of having free choice .

Sports Illustrated is pretty useless, really. The only thing it has going for it is the photography.

Dont forget Rick Reilly...JFK

Thank you Moderator. They swoop in here and think they are going to single-handedly make FR a liberal bastion and save the day.

No, no. Walter Williams isn't really black, not in the traditional sense. He is really a slave in the home of the plantation owner. He's an Uncle Tom. Because obviously Williams cannot think for himself. He must follow the rules the white man slave owner lays out for him. / sarcasm

Really? I thought it was because he has been brain washed by the "vast right wing conspiracy"

He didn't have to tell us he doesn't listen to Rush...that was so obvious from the hysterical allegations that spewed from his mouth. This guy exhibited as much racism in this article as he claims Rush is guilty of. What's typical of his rantings is that without ever listening to Rush, he thinks he knows what the guy's all about. Sports Illustrated, like the New York Times appears to have foregone talent, in lieu of affirmative action. I hope they aren't paying him big bucks 'cause if they are...they're getting gypped.

I love people who try to tell everyone else what to watch or what NOT to watch on television.

Mark #7 of a complete idiot.

Haven't you heard? Blacks can't be racist, according to folks like Jesse Jack(ass)son.
