08-22-03 - The Left Brings Out Their Guns Against Arnold!!
Today in two stories from the NY Post, both the political left and the Hollywood Left have begun their fight again Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Well, this is what we have to say about that. We read this story first thing this morning and the first thought we had was, who does Ms. Feinstein get campaign contributions from? Surely, the senior senator from California must have supporters from Hollywood, no?
And we're absolutely positive that if Senator Feinstein has received contributions from producers, actors, or agents that had participated in films with guns or that portray a violent theme, then the Senator right now is combing through her records to refund contributions to the likes of Michael Douglas who starred in such warmhearted epics as Falling Down, A Perfect Murder and Traffic, all perfect for family viewing. Or the CEO of Warner Brothers Pictures, producer of the Lethal Weapon series, or Sharon Stone, star of Casino, a violent look at the mob in 1970's Las Vegas. You get the point.

Violence begets violence. See, I just don't get that one. If you shoot someone correctly they won't be shooting you back.

Some Freepers want me to vote against Arnold ... they have drunk the Kool-Aid that Martin Sheen, Rob Reiner, Barbra Streisand and Cybill Sheperd have drunk. I am happy to vote the opposite of all those actors and Freepers. We're gonna have a Repub governor !!!

What kind of "Republican" is the question? Pro-abortion, pro-taxes, advised by Warren Buffet and steeped in the Hollyweird culture of sex and death. How is that good?

I am most aggrieved to learn that Tom Hanks has thrown his lot in with the ilk. How can a person go out of his way to honor brave Americans in all the ways he has done and still not see the Democrats for what they are? This looks like some form of mental illness!

cuz he has a 'R' behind his name and that makes it a 'win'. Nothing else matters.

Advised by the UTTERLY AWESOME George Schulz. Why have you forgotten that and Arnold's put down of Buffet. You are one of those people whp only sees the BAD.

Hmmm...wasn't it the DEMOCRATS who threatened Arnold with "REAL BULLETS"?

That's why I haven't bothered for some time, and won't bother to go see 'anything' Tom Hanks is involved in ever again.
To: NewRomeTacitus
Hanks makes war movies to line his pockets, then helps finance candidates who loath the military, like Bill and Hillary. I don't care much for the guy in case you hadn't noticed.

"What kind of "Republican" is the question?"One who clarified his positions on taxes (he's against raising them) and gun control (because only criminals will have guns and guns are banned all over Europe but people are sill shot there)

Its amazing how many people on FR have railed against Martin Sheen, because he plays a politiican. And yet another actor, who has zero political experience, not even in movies, two flaming liberals as his closest advisors, his wife and Warren Buffet, puts an (R) in front of his name, and immediately becomes the savior of the Republican party. What a joke!
Go Tom go!

Sad, but I've now added Hanks to the long list of actors whose movies I refuse to rent, attend or even watch on TV. There are so many. And my memory is long: I haven't seen a single Hanoi Jane movie in over 30 years.

Come on, the guy has always played the weenie in his movie. Now he does so in real life. His wife makes better movies than he does. (Big Greek Wedding) Sorry but he did not make Private Ryan watchable for me. I was gone after 30 minutes

"savior of the Republican party"Who, other than you, has called him that?
Many just see him as the the best chance of keeping Cruz Bustamante from becoming the our governor.
That does't mean he's a savior. It just means he's currently more electable than 5% Mcclintock.
