"An Eye for An Eye....Until the Whole World is Blind"
Gandhi

I heard the news while driving. Another 'suicide for Allah'.....had blown up a bus in Israel. From the first reports....there were a lot of people hurt...and dead.

I arrived home...and turned on the news.

Pictures of para-medics attempting to keep children alive.....the children laying on the ground...and the para-medics feverishly trying everything they had to breath life back into lifeless broken bodies.

...and watching their faces as they sometimes failed.

We have come so far...as humans...as children of God.......as our understanding of our Rights and Responsibilities have grown.....and yet....we are seemingly reduced to the slaughter of children.

For Political gain.....

For REVENGE.....

To just kill....

I don't know.....is this the METHOD that must be used to arrive at peace???

We have come so far....with ideals of a Free people...that each and every one of us has worth...and has control of our own lives.

We have come so far.....and yet in the end we need to see that there IS a cancer living in our human species.

A cancer that has only one thought...to kill everyone who disagrees with it.

To murder children ..all in the pretext of revenge...or on the pretext that they were merely Jews or Zionists (can a child of 2 actually BE political???).

We are told that the members of Hamas etc.....are fighting for a ' Palistinian Homeland '. That their actions are the only way they can fight...and "Liberate" their "Homeland".

Bullshit.

Fighting to Free your Homeland is the Spanish pushing out the Islamic conquerers one step at a time until they won.

Fighting to Free you Homeland is the Greeks banding together to drive out the Persians.

Fighting to Free your Homeland....is the farmers and merchants standing toe to toe with the British Infantry...and beating them...and creating a Nation of Free people.

Murdering small children is not.

So....the idea that Hamas etc are 'Freedom Fighters'.....is a lie.

And worse still....it is a cancer that seemingly pervades the entire Islamic World...(I have YET to hear of any other culture that has suicide bombers that delight in killing small children).

We are at a crossroads in humanities path towards Freedom.

This time in our History will decide the fate of millions.

Will they be helped to grow...to develop Free Governments....to learn that they CAN shape their own destiny...that it is NOT up to whatever Imman or Dictator is 'hot' at the time.

The Islamic Peoples DO have a chance...but there IS a cancer in their midst.

One keeping them from life......one determined to keep the chaos and carnage flowing freely...(which, like cockroaches, they thrive on).

A cancer that thinks nothing of sending their children out to kill other children.......

At this point....the Islamic World NEEDS to decide...on life or death.

If they decide on life...THEY will remove the cancer....and cast it aside.

If they choose death...they just need to keep going in the same direction......forever trading an eye for an eye.....until the whole world is blind.

But I don't believe the rest of the world is going to give them much more time.

Tell it to the State Department who sees a moral equivalence in the middle east.

Am beginning to believe that this is the beginning of a new holocaust.

I am eagerly awaiting the additon of the third autopsy picture on your wonderful homepage.

It won't be the end of the story, but it will be the end of a long, infuriating and sad chapter.

"Love Protects"
That scripture implies defense of your loved ones and allies against harm. There is no eye-for-eye in that scenario....only God ordained protection via force.

When the United States and the rest of the world finally understands that these "sand for brains" bastards have no more mental capacity than a rabid dog, we might begin making some headway.

You don't capture, try, convict, and imprison rabid dogs...You PUT THEM DOWN!

End of story.

Somebody the other day was trying to convince me that we can stop the terrorists by talking w/their leaders (the higher up, political figures). I tried to communicate to him that the political leaders don't control the fanatics (like your analogy to the rabid dog), certainly not like one would control or command an army, and that their supposed "leaders" aren't interested in our reasoning.

Where do people get off thinking we can reason w/fanatics or their supposed leaders?

You are so right, my old friend. Beautifully expressed.

As I was reading, the thought popped into my head about the Alabama Chief Justice fighting to keep the Ten Commandments in the court house. That's just what we need in America, to remove any reminder that our country was founded on principles derived from God. This sure is a crazy world today.

Hope you can get some sleep soon. We're off this afternoon to our Airstream on the lake. Take care. Regards, Mare

Sorry about your insomnia, but I'm glad that you made productive use of your time, this essay is great. I can't disagree with a single word.

I think that it was Limbaugh, that said a few months ago, that he couldn't find a single instance of a war being ended by negotiation. There had to a winner and a vanquished loser before peace could ever be restored. In this case I have to agree.

With Iraq being rebuilt, with Iran about to topple, with Saudi Arabia's complicity becoming more known and despised, and with the public's attitudes on terrorism since 9/11, I don't think that it will take much before the entire Islamic world will be assaulted and transformed. The patience of the world is growing thin, and the Islamic hordes are about to find out that their hatred is not to be accepted by the rest of us.

Excellent comments. The Arab countries comprise over 6 million square miles of land. Israel is only about 4,200. Still, they won't stop until they have Israel, too.

They can have death and life. But that decision has a steep price. Just ask the Japanese.

Got two words for you: Neville Chamberlain. His spirit continues to reside in many idiots who refuse to realize that the bad guys do not want to be their friends or do conflict resolution exercises, they want to kill people.

The West Bank used to be Jordanian territory before Israel took it during a war they didn't start. So why didn't Jordan ever create a Palestinian state in the decades between Israel's establishment and the capture of the West Bank?

IIRC, five of the folks who died in that last bus bombing (including a three month old baby) were Americans. It is time for us to tell the Palestinians, "Stop the bombing now, because the next time you kill an American, there will be U.S. troops coming to kick down your door, and they will make the Israelis look like little fuzzy little lambs."
