He could better show support by having the NYPD hunt down and deport all illegals from Muslim nations.

I went with a jewish delegation to washington DC to see a bunch of politicians show support of israel. People like nadler, wiener, hillary, and the like were there. Eric cantor, james inhofe and sam brownback showed up as well.

The new york jews, were saying how impressed they were that hillary and the rest of the rats showed up. I told them that is was just pandering and that they HAD to show up. Think of all the jews that live in new york. What I was impressed with was that inhofe and brownback showed. How many jews live in oklahoma and kansas?? I would guess less than 1,000.

What bloombergs doing is just pandering he needs the votes. I am not impressed.

What does that mean? Does the average Israeli care that the mayor of New York shows up? And again, who pays for all of this?

Maybe the good folks in Israel will treat Mr. Bloomberg with the same level of respect he received when he decided to leave City Hall and mingle with the crowds of New Yorkers during last week's blackout.

"Get the f#ck out of the way, @sshole!" was the common sentiment of people who found the street bocked by Bloomberg and the knot of reporters who were following him.

And again, who pays for all of this?

How about he shows some support the NYC taxpayers instead.

As am I. He might not be Gulianni, but at least he's doing some things right.

I think Israelis care a great deal about American support. God knows what with the bizzare statement Powell made today, it's good that one American pol anyway will show support after the Massacre of the Children.

Bloomberg -unlike his predecessor - has no focus, no theme, no clear objectives.

He wastes political capital on petty initiatives like the smoking ban. The schools swerve off into the 'Harvey Milk' weeds. Meanwhile, the city continues to struggle in the aftermath of 11 September.

And now he's off to Jerusalem. Fine. But so far, Mike's been a disappointment. That's not unexpected - given his 'conversion' from 'D' to 'R' - but a disappointment, nonetheless.
