My op eds on Buggering American Civilization and Ten Reasons to Defend Marriage earned the best hate mail. The people who disagree with my Conservatism speak from the overflow of their hearts. They can’t refrain from calling me names. None of them challenged the ideas. Their hate mail even proves my points. Thank you.
If the fundamental issues weren’t so important, it would be laughable that we even have to address this question of same-sex marriage. As George Orwell said, “We have now sunk to a depth at which the restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men.” So, let’s state the obvious.
Every society that ever existed - from tiny tribe to great civilization - regulated sexual behavior into the categories of honored, tolerated, and punished. Since 1607, English-speaking Americans had the Judeo-Christian moral-ethical values for what is right and wrong.
The rules were the ‘rational’ application for what is written the King James Bible. Consequently, adultery, incest, homosexuality, and bestiality were wrong. Clearly, today’s majority of Americans favor moving consensual, adult homosexual behavior from the punished to the tolerated category. No one advocates, nor do any authorities use, the power of the state as sex police to invade the privacy of the bedroom. The police do make arrests – as in NoVa (Northern Virginia) – when homosexuals use a public park to solicit and engage in sex acts. Do the liberals push public sodomy for homosexuals? Which is precisely the problem – what is punished when you throw away the Judeo-Christian standard we have always had?
When you destroy the moral-ethical standard, then you have no moral standing for the laws that make bigamy, polygamy/polyandry, incest, bestiality, obscenity, and sodomy illegal. Which means same-sex marriage is okay and a Muslim can have four wives and the Mormon out in Utah suing the government can have his fourteen ‘wives’.
You destroy a pillar of American civilization with homosexual marriage. No civilization ever – including the ones in decline with rampant homosexuality – had marriage as anything other than between man and woman. Because marriage is not about perks from the government, but it’s about creating families.
Real families. The best family has a mother and a father. Everything less – single parent families, grandparent families, foster families which are legal – can be wonderful families to provide for children, but they are always a bit less than the best possible. Homosexual/lesbian partners may have love for children, but they lack either a mother or a father. No sexual pervert pretending to be another gender can compensate. Only sissy Christians and barbarian Pagans, who reject the moral authority of the Bible, our tradition and the commonsense of history, think homosexuals/lesbians should marry and acquire children (because they can’t create them naturally).
Everything bad that has happened to families in the past forty years has been a social pathology to America. The consequences of divorce, drugs, alcohol abuse, sexual abuse, child abuse, abortion, illegitimacy, pornography, suicide are suffering, pain and death. The family is an institution that is older than America. Deconstructing the family and making it some kind of village for the village people will destroy our civilization.
In my op eds I pointed out that it won’t happen the day after Adam and Steve are married in America. But, it will happen. One email was particularly instructive on why our Civilization is in jeopardy. A lawyer educated at The University ( a.k.a. University of Virginia) and professing sissy Christian wrote that if I say - get this –
-that adultery, incest, homosexuality and bestiality are all moral wrongs, sins, as it is written in the Holy Bible, then I am guilty of ‘hate speech’ and my speech should be suppressed.
Wake up Christians and Jews! If you read what the Bible says about homosexuality in public you will be taken to court in Canada and fined. It’s already happened. The suppression of free speech is coming here – its part and parcel of liberal intolerance. The Puritans of liberal double think and the Pharisees of sissy Christians, will move step by inevitable step to become totalitarians. Your freedom of speech and religion are threatened – now.
Conservatives are happy to contend in the marketplace of ideas and at the ballot box. Liberals, make your silly arguments for exalting anal sex between men and finding fault with other perversions. Conservatives will talk about loving the sinner (our friends and relatives), rejecting the sin and protecting the family and children with the rule of law.
Finally, stating the obvious again – you are the sovereigns of the state. If you do not use your power you will lose your freedom, your rights, and your heritage. Make the Defense of Marriage Amendment happen.

#42 signed a genocide pact that makes this kind "hate speech" a fine, AND will send the reader up the river...
And if that is hate speech then claiming I am being hateful for saying it is hate speech too :)
I personally have a hard time pushing for a constitutional amendment to state the obvious. Otherwise we will end up with a constitution that is 10,000 pages long. The fact that we even need to consider it tells us where our focus as moral people should be...and that is on educating and spreading the word...almost in a revival sense...because that is exactly what is needed. As John Adams said,
"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. Agreed! As 4ConservativeJustices proclaims, all the laws we need are the Bill of Rights and the Ten Commandments.
If one spreads the good news of Jesus Christ, he is lambasted for being an extremist. If one mentions that sin (including homosexuality) is a roadblock on the path to salvation, he is engaging in "hate-speak."
BUT... if one accommodates or enables perversion and reprobate behavior, this is somehow now construed as loving acceptance of "other people."
Scripture tells us that in the "end times", people will be racing about the face of the earth at high speed, there will be a re-unification of the Roman Empire (with one currency), and that there will be those who not only do wicked things, but that there will be many who openly applaud and encourage this wickedness.
In our country's relatively recent past, people moved at the speed of a stroll, or a horse, or a wind-blown sail. There was no European Union. There was no Euro.
When America was founded, our nation did not applaud wickedness. There was no Jerry Springer or Larry Flynt. There was no Roe v Wade, or pro-sodomy law. There was no "discussion" of same-sex "marriage."
We are a world in rapidly escalating decay, and have been since Man's Fall from Grace. What is called 'evolution" is actually rot.
Let him who has eyes see, and him who has ears hear.
Our society was meant to be self-governing. Moral people do not need myriad laws to govern them...they govern themselves. When we are forced to inact myriad laws to try and govern and increasingly immoral people...we end up with tyranny, chaos and violence. I hate to say it, but that is where we are headed unless we experience a moral and religious revival of major proportions.
I pray for that eventuality...and then go out and work for it by sharing convictions in a reasoned fashion with as many as I can. I pray there is enough of a remnant here in this nation that will make progress with their friends and neighbors...that will open their mouths...so that people will choose the right path themselves.
In the end, either we as a people will choose for ourselves to see the obvious moral foundations to our society...or God in Heaven will ultimately point it out to us in an unmistakable way.
Paging Alabama Chief Justice Roy S. Moore ... maybe it is the beginning.
