Sponsored by the Tri-State Chapter of the  Free Republic

The Tri-State Chapter of the Free Republic is sponsoring a get together for Freepers in the Tri-State area and elsewhere.  We will be meeting at the famous NJ Restaurant, Rutt's Hut, a landmark for decades,  in the Delawanna Section of Clifton, NJ at 1:30 PM. September 13th   Get ready for the best hot dogs you ever ate (lots of other stuff on the menu too). We will have our own room.

Afterwards, there will be a motor trip to the Great Falls, in Paterson, NJ.  The only requirement that we ask is that you freepmail Firebrand if you plan on attending; we need to keep out the interlopers and disruptors like this person Here from spoiling our day. It will be a pleasure to finally meet all of you.  If you have any questions or comments please freepmail Firebrand .

Bus 190

For those Coming from the Port Authority NYC, the 190 Bus leaves you right in front of RUTT'S HUTT! at Delawanna Ave. and River Road!  There are not too many stops during the weekend.

The 191 will leave you at the Alwood, Clifton, Circle, about 2 miles away, this bus seems to have more available times.

The 192 has almost the same schedule as the 191
Bus 192

Bus Routes by County

NJ Transit Bus and Rail Schedule, Train line is the Bergen Line to Delawanna and Passaic.  I don't think the Delawanna section of Clifton Station is Open on Saturdays so the next stop would be in Passaic.

From Path Station to Passaic, seems there are not Stops on Saturday for the Delawanna, Clifton Station, Passaic is the next stop.

Return Trip

or Come by Boat

Ferry travels between Port Imperial in Weehawken, NJ and West 38th Street in Midtown Manhattan. Connecting shuttle bus service is available in Manhattan and New Jersey.

Waterway Times and Routes

From Parkway north, exit 153-A, to Rt. 3 EAST/Meadowlands, after Barnes and Noble and the Ramada Inn, exit to Rt. 21 NORTH, where you will only be on the highway for about 30 yards, stay in lane and do not get onto the highway and get off exit 10A, River Drive South, go up the ramp, make left over highway and make a left onto River Road, the restaurant is on your left.

From Parkway South, from your left lane, exit 153 to Rt. 3 EAST and follow above directions....

From NJ Turnpike, exit 16W to Rt. 3 WEST to Rt. 21 NORTH and follow above directions.

If you need further directions freepmail me, thank you.

Before Mickey Ds there was Rutts Hut. Going there after a high school dance was SWELL! And let's not forget that Titan of Hollywood who hailed from Paterson. None other than Lou Costello!
