Just hours after the Northeastern power grid went down shutting off electricity for 50 million Americans, New York Sen. Hillary Clinton took to the airwaves to blame President Bush and his administration's energy policies for pushing deregulation and coddling corrupt power companies like Enron.
"I happen to think that making sure we have a reliable, affordable system of energy is a national priority - and I don't think that this administration sees it that way," Clinton told CNN's "Larry King Live."
"They have continued to try to push deregulation and privatization, and to try to undo a lot of the systems in changes that many of us thought were important and necessary that we tried to work on during the Clinton administration under [Former Energy] Secretary [Bill] Richardson's leadership."
Sen. Clinton also accused the White House of throwing "a lot of roadblocks in the way of [Calif. Gov. Gray] Davis, when he tried to clean up some of the problems that he had with the manipulation of the energy markets by Enron and others."
"So, no," she insisted, "I don't think the federal administration under this president is really focused on making sure we don't have these problems in the future."
Before Clinton phoned in her comments to the King Show, however, Gov. Richardson, now governor of New Mexico, noted that her husband had done little to address the problem during his eight years in office.
"In the Clinton administration, everybody yawned about this, [saying] oh, we don't need to do this. Oh, we don't have a crisis," he told King.

If Cheeks Richardson actually said that about Clinton, he better stay away from FT. Marcy Park!!

Why wasn't she working on this problem instead of writing her $8 million dollar book??? If she KNEW it was a problem.........hmmmm.

She is in way over her head on this issue. She probably can't even spell electric transmission system, and certainly knows nothing of the technical details.
Like Gore's understanding of global warming, Hillary's understanding of the power grid is limited to knowing that there are votes to be gained by uttering the words.

I know about Arianna attempting to link Arnold to Enron. What a jackass. Both of them.
I didn't know about Canada blaming lightning on the power outage.
I know who Ho Chi Minh is, but don't know the story. I was kind of young when that was going on. Could you elaborate?
Hillary is a classic narcissistic sociopath. That's her story.

Thank goodness, you're right on top of this horrible woman. (That doesn't sound quite right, but you get my drift..)
Her dastardly deeds and venom can't slip past you!

Yeah, that Bill Richardson better watch out; he might just be accused of being part of the "vast right-wing conspiracy"!

One that isn't quite as bad is B.Richardson. He doesn't come out and say that it is Clinton's problem too; but I don't think he was blaming G.Bush either! He's more reasonable than the others.

Maybe we should plug her @ss into the northeast power grid? I don't think even Hillery can generate that much static electricity. Gee whiz, big at it is, even her @ss couldn't handle the power surge. She's liable to get fried like a porkchop.....fried...like........hmmmm.... Damm good idea, Tallguy! It's worth a shot, might work. If it saves just one child from a hot night with no TV, I'm for it.

Hillary a bitch? I'm thinking more along the lines of the 'C' word myself.I posted something very similar, along those lines, on another thread.
It takes an awful lot to bring about that name, but she brings out so much anger and hatred in us, there's really no better phrase to describe it!

"...but she brings out so much anger..."I think it's important to remember why that is---It's because this woman has been given great POWER w/out any Merit What-So-Ever. Lets keep that in mind each time she fires off her mouth. No wonder Chelsea went to England.

NEVER FORGET
Friends of HILLARY =
-Liberal Prime Minister of Canada
-1960's Terrorist Dictator of Communist North Vietnam HO CHI MINH who America was fighting in order to keep South Vietnam Free.
...After my returning home from the first major battles of the Vietnam War...
...I was stunned to see HILLARY RODHAM & BILL CLINTON acting in support of HO CHI MINH's Communist Victory over US and Freedom for a then Free South Vietnam.
The Enemy is now Within...
and always has been.
Now we know why HILLARY & BILL CLINTON refused 3 No-String Offers from the Sudan to extradite our No. 1 Terrorist Enemy OSAMA bin LADEN to the custody of a U.S. Jail & Trial during the 1990's that would have prevented the Attacks on us all on September 11, 2001...
...don't we..???

One thing I do remember from that time, is when Jane Fonda posed with the Viet Cong. My parents went nuts... I'll never forget the way my mom spat out the name "Jane Fonda".
Btw, in '65, I was in kindergarten :)

...WHY did former 11 year Los Alamos Congressman RICHARDSON's Energy Dept authorize fires all around our Nuclear Lab during the yearly windy season that resulted in... ...the Loss of our Miniature NUKE technology to our enemies..? You can put aside your tinfoil hat regard Richardson's role in the Los Alamos fire. It was started as a controlled burn by a low level National Park Service employee of Bandelier National Monument. From there it spread to Dept. of Agriculture Forest Service lands and about a week after it started, it reached the lab boundary. It destroyed more of the town than the lab, where most of the buildings were spared due to thinning of the forest (something the envirowhackos prevented for the Forest Service lands -- timber cutting is a no-no for them).
As for the rest of your chronology, I know nothing about Washington state forest fires, but I do know that Hazel O'Leary (and her successor Federico Pena) was likely more responsible for loss of nuclear secrets than Richardson was. In the spirt of "openness" which the liberals subscribed to following the election of Clinton, she ordered relaxed security at the labs and encouraged "scientific" exchanges between US and foreign nationals at the labs and overseas. It was during the period from 1993 though 1998 before he became secretary when most of the damage was done. What Richardson's part in the Energy Department's "open door" policy is still subject to debate. But he stepped into more sh!t than he caused during his 2 1/2 year tenure.

...I remember when it happened that it was Friend of the CLINTONS and longtime Los Alamos Area resident BILL RICHARDSON's Energy Department that gave it's authorization knowlingly for the "Controlled" Burns around our Los Alamos Nuclear Labs during Los Alamos' windiest season of the year.
...The very Classroom where most of the early therotical work was done on the development of the 1st Atomic Bomb by our Nuclear Scientists, including the very preserved chalk board with early nuclear equations on it, was destroyed during the fires of Los Alamos.
...Shortly after the Los Alamos Fires an American Nuclear Intelligence expert did state on the full FoX News Channel that it was our OWN Suitcase NUKE Technology that turned up missing at Los Alamos after the Fires. The use of which we all now fear in Time of War.
...NOTRA TRULOCK, of the Los Alamos Labs, agrees with everything I share here and has stated so publically on 'The Judicial Watch Report' Talk Radio Show.
...NEVER FORGET that as President BUSH was preparing to bring Freedom to Iraq, the Friend of the CLINTONS ..North Korea flexed its Nuclear Muscle as a diversion to try and stop BUSH from acting in Iraq. The CLINTONS quest for more Power just couldn't stand a BUSH Victory there.
...NEVER FORGET that it was Friend of HILLARY ..BILL RICHARDSON that the North Koreans went running to in America during the Iraq war, even soliciting a Tour of the Los Alamos Lab from him. They knew their and HILLARY's Man when they saw him.
...Thank GOD that BUSH had told KIM JUNG Ill to just go underground for 40 days at the start of the Iraq War, which he did, running suddenly silent.
GOD Bless our Commander-in-Chief BUSH.
