Just hours after the Northeastern power grid went down shutting off electricity for 50 million Americans, New York Sen. Hillary Clinton took to the airwaves to blame President Bush and his administration's energy policies for pushing deregulation and coddling corrupt power companies like Enron.
"I happen to think that making sure we have a reliable, affordable system of energy is a national priority - and I don't think that this administration sees it that way," Clinton told CNN's "Larry King Live."
"They have continued to try to push deregulation and privatization, and to try to undo a lot of the systems in changes that many of us thought were important and necessary that we tried to work on during the Clinton administration under [Former Energy] Secretary [Bill] Richardson's leadership."
Sen. Clinton also accused the White House of throwing "a lot of roadblocks in the way of [Calif. Gov. Gray] Davis, when he tried to clean up some of the problems that he had with the manipulation of the energy markets by Enron and others."
"So, no," she insisted, "I don't think the federal administration under this president is really focused on making sure we don't have these problems in the future."
Before Clinton phoned in her comments to the King Show, however, Gov. Richardson, now governor of New Mexico, noted that her husband had done little to address the problem during his eight years in office.
"In the Clinton administration, everybody yawned about this, [saying] oh, we don't need to do this. Oh, we don't have a crisis," he told King.

"I heard her spewing her venom last night on MSNBC"I had to turn it off....her shameless, self promotion and the clang-clacking sound of her rants, grieve my spirit.

Amazing, her entire city...you know the one she is supposed to be a Senator in...goes black, and the first public thing out of her mouth is who is to blame...

Compare and contrast her response to that of Gov Pataki. Real leadership vs the wannabe kind.
To: Hugenot
Of course it's Bush's fault. Everything is his fault, including the fact that Hillary is getting fatter by the day.

Hillary Clinton took to the airwaves to blame President Bush and his administration's energy policies for pushing deregulation and coddling corrupt power companies like Enron. Enron is no longer in the electrical futures market and hasn't been for a year now, but no mention of California at all. Newspeak doubleplus ungood.

There's gotta be a way to harness all that static that Hillary gives this administration. Maybe we should plug her @ss into the northeast power grid?

Dittos!
I was thinking, I bet Hitlery thinks that a "transmission constraint" is when one is unable to get your email and that a "distributed load" is what hits a blue dress!

"Our infrastructure in the energy area is very limited." Cheney told MSNBC's "Hardball." "It's very important we get on with this business of making certain we've got enough energy in the future or we will find that the problems in California today are in fact national in scope and affect all parts of the country." (3/21/01)Bush has an energy plan to deal with these issues. For 2 years, the plans have been bottled up in conference committees--thwarted by Democrats.

Spoken like a true shrew!Shrew, did you say? Kinda, oh say, like this one?
Or how about the skank she's turned into? Forgive me, I know it's heresy to agree with her hubby -- Pee Wee -- on anything, but, forgive me Lord, I don't blame him. If I had to come home to this, trolling elementary schools for dates, while still deplorable, is at least understandable.

Gee, why doesn't she spew that filth on say, Fox? Could it be that she may be CHALLENGED?Exactly what I said last night. She went on and on citing Enron, for pete's sake, and not one murmur of "What the hell are you talking about, hillary?".
I had to delete the rest of what I just typed....grrrrrrrrrr
To: Pyro7480
No,no Pyro. We actually want her to keep on talking...Insert foot in mouth continually. I don't think people want to hear that this was Bush's fault. I think they will think that's ridiculous. So the shriller she is the better for us. V's wife.

If the cause is so obvious to her, without even needing to hear results of an investigation, surely she must have seen this coming. So what was she doing to head it off? Why didn't she predict this?

When I first heard the news of the Black Out I wondered how long it would take for the democraps to blame President Bush.
Evidently it didn't take the wicked witch of the east very long did it?
