Terrorists don't need to kill us themselves. If they can routinely disable the power in all major cities for more than three days at a time, then we will kill each other through race wars. It is sad but true. Think about it. Don't have to. Look at Iraq. Strategic pipeline bombings every week.

NJTransit rep on WNBC. Trains are running north and west out of Penn Station to get folks out of the city. MetroNorth running north. Urging folks to give up crowing the ferry service (20,000+ trying to get on to cross the Hudson) and walk twelve blocks back to Penn Station. NJ Governor on ... all power now on in NJ except at Hoboken.

In Philly we have a pair of jet engines directly connected to power turbines, FOR THE EXPRESS PURPOSE OF PROVIDING SEED POWER TO START OTHER SUBSTATIONS. Very interesting! How many watts (or power for X number of homes) does this produce?

Good point! Detroit has the boil order apparently. At least until morning if I heard correctly.

Photos please I'm waiting on the proto-types. They are being sent over from China. However, I will need someone to model them for me...looking for a little side job?

How deep is the deepest mine?
The deepest mine is a gold mine in South Africa; in 1977 the Western Deep Levels Mine reached a depth of 3,581 metres. Most mines descend to about 1,000 metres.
