Dan Rather is reporting that these two men could be in New York City.

If some one doesn't do something your prediction may come to pass. Our US Sentaor (Sessions)was in town this morning and mentioned opening the closed nuclear plant (Bellfonte). But construction has been halted over 20 years and the technology may be too outdated to be feasable. One of the 2 reactors was 90% complete.

Dang, you were stuck in all that? Glad you escaped NY.....

I hope Fox does a review of their coverage and checks out the whiny doctors on O'Reilly's show -- realllly bad. Boring coverage actually got me dial-flipping (which resulted in my seeing Paula Zahn's, er, *amazing* new hairdo...).
Fox showed during the Iraq war that they are capable of doing the very best job out there...this coverage, including Catherine Herridge constantly stopping to say "Hi" to passersby during her reports, has been less than stellar.

Bush saying Fed involvement was not that much because the state & local authorities were well-prepared.
Besides communication with among them and Homeland security, and the FAA getting the airlines up and running.

He also indicated that he didn't have a clue what caused it at this point.....They are denying the lightning report now..

On CNN they had a guy on that says this shouldn't happen if everyone in the grid is following the rules and an investigation will be done to see if anyone broke the rules.(There is a council that oversees this)

FOX News sucks for breaking news. MSNBC wins that prize, whether you like their programs or not, they break the news the best.
To: Brian S
Yeah, if they don't know what did cause it, then can someone please tell me how they know what didn't cause it?? That does not make any sense. They can't have it both ways. They can't say, "We don't know what caused it, but it wasn't terrorisme". Well, I guess they can say it because after all THEY are the GOVERNMENT MEDIA COMPLEX.

Lots of reports now coming in stating they don't know what caused this.

Is there any real possibility that this could have been the work of hackers? Is there anyone here on FR with the expertise re: how the power grid actually works to shed any light on this as a real possibility?
I'm just curious...50 mil people w/o power on no "natural" cause just raises a few red flags to me IMHO.

I rarely go see movies based on books I've read. It always ruins the books for me...I love to see a movie after the book! Like to see how Hollywood screwed up.
