It sounds as though power's being restored to the areas furthest away from NYC first?

We don't know what caused this, but is it DEFINITELY NOT terrorism.

in Sandusky trapped upside down in a roller coaster in the sweltering heatNews reported Great Adventure (in Southern NJ) lost power for about 10 minutes with people stuck on rides. They got the people off, retested the rides and kept the park open and operating.

It would be funny if you called them and had your call routed to their call center in "Bangalore", wouldn't it?

If power is out in Sandusky, I wonder how Tommyboy is handling things over at the Callahan auto parts plant.

Are you kidding?
That seems a tad irresponsible in the midst of what's happening? What happens if the power fails again and they're trapped on there for hours?
Man...that seems to be a greedy operation...and darn irresponsible to boot...
To: Old Sarge
Thanks for the reply, Sarge. I asked because it would seem that with nightfall coming, conditions can get wa-a-a-ay beyond what the civil authorities can control right quick. Just the presence of the Guard moving into key positions might have a reassuring, and restraining, effect on the populace.
To: P.O.E.
That might be the Michigan Governor's call. All depends on how the situation develops as we get closer to nightfall.
