Prayer Request for A Tiny Baby (Update in post #12850)
Myself | 8-11-03 | Brad's Gramma

Posted on 08/11/2003 12:57:30 PM PDT by Brad’s Gramma

If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. He’s the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.

Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2” long.

He’s a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that he’s starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.

I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious…and this is her reply…” A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.”

On a personal note, I’ve read the emails daily from my friend. I’ve known her for years, I’ve heard her talking about her family for years…but I’ve got to tell you that I’m SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.

Father God, we lift up Logan’s little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until he’s grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Fellow Freepers…….I bring you Logan!!!

"voted best smile."

I agree, fatima!
It's really infectious!
I don't think anyone can be sad when they see that big, toothless, Logan grin.

LOL!
BG, I suspect if you were posting these pictures you'd have his whole Web page on the thread!

"He is such a funny baby!"

I know I'm a little partial, but this little guy has so many facial expressions for his age!
I have to remember that he's really only about three months old!
With each picture I open I have to recover from laughing before I can work with it.
He is just pure joy and love.

Awwwww........it's okay, Termite.

We got a lot of man talk to do!
Wimmen are okay as long as they're fixing our meals or washing our clothes, but there's times when us men folk gotta do our thing!

LOL, oh you are so bad ;-)

I keep meaning to ask, how is Logan doing developmentally? Is he rolling over yet?

So glad to hear about the postponement of Logan's surgery! I'm praying that he won't need surgery at all by the time his lungs have stengthened sufficiently to do it.

Those great close-up pictures had me laughing out loud, oohing, ahhing, and generally acting silly in front of my monitor. It was great! ha. Anyone who has ever held a baby could almost experience holding him just by looking at the pictures. Thanks for the fix, T.C.!

"Is he rolling over yet?"

I was afraid someone was going to ask that.

You see, Logan hates to lie on his stomach because of the discomfort of his hydrocele.
It is big, and you can tell it bothers him.
Beth and Nana don't lie him on his stomach for a very long period so he isn't developing in that respect like normal babies.
He is strong enough right now to roll over. He just hasn't been given much opportunity to do so.

Oh Oh! In regard to your post #7611 Uncle TC.... You're in BIG trouble!!

I guess I'd better tell you that you have my Nana and my Mommy's feathers fluffed! They said to tell you the door is going to be locked, but that they will hold me up to the window so you can do a drive by to see me :( Geeezzzz... I wish you wouldn't have said that about "Wimmen"!!!

I love you Uncle TC.... I'll wave when you go by!

Termite, us guys gotta stick together!

Threaten them with another one of those two-in-the-morning poop fests like you had when you drank that prune juice!

Yea Uncle TC, we gotta stick together. But you gotta get to me first and you have the "Wimmen" bunched up now! I don'e even know if youre gonna get in the front door.

And as for the poop-fest, you're not there at 2 a.m. and being a smart litle guy, I know which side my bread's buttered on! I even bet Aunti N will give you some flack over all of this. You know how thich she and my Nana are.

Be careful Cowboy... it might rain on your parade! LOL
