If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious
and this is her reply
A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years
but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen

God is there with him. I know. He told me. I believe you...I honestly do.
I just talked to Logan's Grandma...and Mommy is at the hospital now, visiting. So, I'll hear something tonight yet or will have to wait till the morning.

More prayers for baby Logan. What a precious little bundle he is.
Thanks for the ping Salvation.

We are continuing to pray for Logan here and can't wait until the day when the message is posted that he is being released from the hospital.
I know from from personal experience how wearing this is on the whole family. Thank you for being such a good friend to them! There were times when we felt we were only being carried by the prayers of family and friends.
One thing we did was make a tape of our little guy's older brothers and sister reading stories and singing to him. The nurses would play it for him when he was awake late at night at the NICU when we weren't there. I hope Logan has only "Good Days" in his future.
To: Salvation
St. Jude, the glorious apostle, faithful servant, and friend of Jesus, pray for Logan who is sick and so miserable. Make use we implore you of this particular privilege accorded to you, to bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to his assistance in this great time of need, that he and his family may receive the consolations and succor of Heaven in all their necessities, tribulations and sufferings, particularly to help this child to get better from his illness and to give him good health and to guide his path, and that we may bless God with you and all the elect forever. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen.
