If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious
and this is her reply
A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years
but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen

I'll be praying for your son.
Any other premmy born on my birthday deserves at least that much.
26 weeks is fairly young and small. Fortunately, medecine has progressed.
In 1970, my uncle had a 28 week premie, who passed away.
Other than poor co-ordination and a slightly damaged respritory system, I did quite well after 30 weeks.
There is one thing that you may be able to do for Logan. "Touch therapy" and other human contact can improve teh prospects for premature babies. It increases bloodflow, oxygenation and weight gain.

Prayers on the way again for little Logan. Don't worry, he'll be just fine. He probably misses his mama's touch and needs to be held. Can his daddy hold him?

Prayers for Logan! (what a handsome name for a darling boy. my 3 year old has that name) A lady I know had her baby last year in October, when he was due in January. He is now home and will soon be able to get completely off his oxygen.
The power of prayer is awesome!

Once again I will reiterate that I am not a religious person.
He has been in my thoughts much of the past week, due to your updates. I will think of him as Fighting Logan
This young boy sounds like he has the strength...he's fighting hard...and appears to have great medical people fighting with him.
Please give his parents my personal regards.
If he needs blood...marrow...or anything else..please feel free to contact me.

Looks to me like Logan is presidential material. Maybe spearheading the Divine Rights movement. Prayers with thanksgiving for the future leader.

I just came across this thread, and I, too, will pray for little Logan.
When I was a pediatric nurse, I remember those little preemies. So small! But they seemed to have grit!
Prayer is powerful, as we know, and I hope Logan's Guardian Angel is on hand - full time.
Bless the little one and his family.

Again, no words can express what we're all feeling. Your offer, is incredible. Absolutely incredible.
