If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious
and this is her reply
A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years
but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen

I'm so proud of our baby, and happy for your daughter, Texas Cowboy!
Those feet are beautiful, Logan!
Aa to my contributions to the prayer list:
#3357 Roni- need more info
##3362 hocndoc Daughter marital issues and granddaughter recovering from surgery
Roni is my grand daughter, Veronica. She is CURED from her congenital lack of white blood cells and subsequent bone marrow failure. For most of Roni's first year, her neutrophil count was under 1.5, she got shots every night and platelet transfusions every week for a while. My daughter in law is fantastic, just for keeping Roni alive. She is almost 2 years out from an umbilical cord blood bone marrow stem cell transplant. The surgery was to finally remove her Portacath - the access to the heart for blood draws and medication injections. Her blood type changed - even from Rh neg to pos and from 46, XX to 46, XY (yep, girl to boy), but it took! As far as we know, she's truly cured, thanks to all those who registered for the bone marrow banks (she had 4 possible matches out there) and one very special family who donated their son's umbilical cord blood. And we thank God.
My daughter could still use prayers for her marriage, although her husband has filed for divorce. He just doesn't want to be married.

nite, nite lil one
Do you mind if your Uncle Tonkin gives you a little advice?
It IS ok to cry, crying is done for many reasons.
To let your mommy that you hurt or need something, or are hungry.
Later in life you will cry when you are happy and when you are sad.
And it is ok to get mad, for the right reasons.
The real "trick" is being mad without losing control.
It is a lesson we all must learn.
Life can be difficult at times and being mad AND out of control just makes things worse.
OK TT, 'nuf "advice" for now.
Dream your happy dreams, eat plenty, laugh and make others laugh.
I'll be saying my nightly prayers now
for you, mommy, daddy, Nana, and All who need God's Special care.
And for our men and women in the military.
God loves you and so do we.
*HUG*

I am so happy for your granddaughter, and your family. What a true blessing to have her!
After what your daughter has gone through, it is heartbreaking to hear of her marital problems. As a parent, I know it's got to be heart wrenching for you too. I will be praying for all of you.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
To: Texas Termite
Termite, we've got your life planned out for you.
We haven't made up our mind yet who you're going to marry or how many kids you're going to have, but everything else has been decided.
To change any part of The Plan requires the vote of about a zillion people so don't even bother to ask.

"YOU STOP BEING MEAN TO MY BOY!" I'm teaching him man stuff!
He knows that the next time he crys, I'll make him drop down and give me twenty push-ups!
I figure in a couple of months he'll be ready to take to the firing range and shoot my .50 caliber!

"Father in heaven we lift in prayer all those listed in need on this thread. Thank You for the miracles and cures, thank you for healing. In Jesus name we ask and in the name of Jesus we thank You, amen." AMEN!
To: hocndoc
"I'm so proud of our baby, and happy for your daughter, Texas Cowboy!" Thank you, hocndoc.
I got a note from her this morning.
She got a brand new mobility scooter yesterday.
She described it like most people would describe a new Corvette! She's very proud of it.
It's all in the perspective.
To: hocndoc
"She is CURED from her congenital lack of white blood cells" Thank you for the update on Veronica, hocndoc.
That is very good news!
My heart aches for these little ones who suffer.
Yes, thank God for that very special family and the umbilical cord blood.
As we all know, a sick child can bring a family much closer together or it can tear a family apart.
I really believe it depends on how much God is involved in their lives.
I'm so sorry for your daughter. She needs the support of her husband very badly now.
She will be in my prayers.
To: TexasCowboy
Thanks, TC. God is indeed a "nice gentleman" (as our visiting Tanzanian bishop likes to say... ;-)
BTW -- gubamyster's son, James, is MUCH better (check out post #389 on that thread). Another miracle to add to the list.
