If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious
and this is her reply
A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years
but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen

Bless you and many thanks for your prayer, and everyone else, as well. I just want to correct one thing -- his MRI is not tomorrow (Monday). I am HOPING we hear back from the hospital WHEN it will be. The appointments are hard to get for the pediatric sedated MRIs and our pediatrician is hoping we don't have to wait FOUR WEEKS, but we might have to. Even though we would go anywhere in Los Angeles and Orange counties. Our doc wanted to admit him to get it done sooner but that is against the rules.
Thank you all so much for sending up the prayers for my little skinny precious redhead. If you only could see how wild he was in synagogue today, all while I was fervently praying for a healthy new year, you would be assured there just CAN'T be anything wrong with him.
I have loved FR for years but never greater than tonight to see all the prayers for Eli. I so believe in prayers. Thank you so very much. When I get the appointment I will post. I wish it were over already.

I can't speak for anybody else, but this prayer vigil for Logan is just one of those Times where God's love reaches out to me with the most fragile, and yet the strongest, little hands. I just love this little guy, and his parents, and all of the people who have been hanging on every update.
This is what it means to be the body of Christ. Oh, I think you're speaking for 100% of us here!!!

As soon as I post a 'welcome back' and tell you how privileged we all are to join together in this spiritual gathering to ask our Father's awesome attention and care for this little tiny bundle - so loved and so needful His grace - I am going upon my knees specifically to pray for Logan.
This little fighter has a legion or more of prayer warriors right behind him, lifting him up with love to our Father's grace.

Dear Holy One, Blessed Be You, please give precious little Logan a complete and speedy healing.
I will be holding him in prayer and waiting for news. He is absolutely precious and I so wish he were completely well and able to start his future at home with his adoring family. Soon.

You mentioned Eli is afraid of needles. You can alleviate that hopefully if you get a prescription for Emla. The pharmacist can explain how to apply it. Just make sure you apply it in several areas (inner elbow, and just above the wrist)in case the one vein collapses they can try another spot. It should be applied about 45mins. before IV or even when blood is being taken. You apply it and cover the area with saran wrap or whatever way the pharmacist advises. My grandkids have bleeding disorders and this is what my daughter (who is a nurse) does for them. The child will not feel the needle. Of course, they (as most kids) don't like the sight of a needle. So distraction is always a good thing.
Hope this helps you and anybody else that reads this.
Praying everything goes well for Eli, the waiting is horrific!

I also have a child who tends to be fearful. All of you are in my prayers. Procedures can be so hard on the children, but they are also dificult for the moms and dads who love them so much.

"Wanna fight me for holdin' rights? Huh?" Ah tell ya whut, pilgrim!
We'll have us a gen-u-ine cow chip throwin' contest to see who gits to hold him first.
Then we'll scrub down in some of grandma's gen-u-ine, made in the pot with hog fat, lye soap 'fore we touch the little critter.

Alright you two. Hasn't anyone told you that this is the one place on Freerepublic that there are no flame wars allowed or threats from southern people that deal with hog fat. Jeez.. You'd think this was a political forum or somethin'
I have to do something to keep myself awake. I guess I will pray some more.....Just waitng for an update before I go to bed.....
