If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious
and this is her reply
A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years
but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen

both of mine were preemies (32 weeks and 35 weeks).. my 32 "weeker" was 2 pounds 9 ounces.. the 35 weeker was 5 pounds
My oldest spent 6 weeks in the hospital. He's now 15 and obsessing about learning to drive. (Aargh) My other son is 13 now.. (glad I don't have to think about him driving yet LOL)

I have an idea. I don't know if Jim will help out with this, but there have been so many inspirational messages and wonderful pictures on this thread; this little guy has provided so many people with the inclination to pray when they might not have done so; he has provided so much hope where hope might not have been; he has provided so much love where love needed an outlet; he has touched so many around the world.
JimRob, can this little termite have a name (termite) and profile on FR where his pictures and story can be shared? This thread is a great place to get the updates and talk about him, but maybe some of those who are so good with graphics can make him his own place in addition to this thread. Is that even possible? Just an idea. Thanks.

It had been suggested early on that his freeper name be "Fighting Logan". Of course, the family should have final say! When he is old enough to post he may want something sutiable :}

Sigh....this little guy will be able to handle anything that comes his way after all this. What a beautiful photo of him as well. Thank you for the update and we are continuing to pray for him. Even my husband asks now: "How's the baby?" He has stolen everyones heart hasn't he? Prayers for Logan...please God, spare this child who has been through so much without even having left the hospital. There's a whole new world out there just waiting for the Logans to enter into it and one day do great things for humanity. Perhaps this is God's way of giving Logan the strength he will need to do these things in the future. Prayers will be said again today...you bet!
Keep on fighting Logan...you dont' know it but you ARE fighting and we're all pulling for you. Listen to your mommy Logan...she will pull you through this. Listen, listen, listen. Do what she tells you. Mommy's are always right. :) God Bless.

I like it. "Fighting Logan." Appropriate for sure.

Thanks. We celebrate life around here and it just seems like this little one's spirit needs to be captured to remind people of the value of life.
Not just this little one, but there are so many children like him who have served as inspiration and testament. What better way to honor their struggle? Maybe "Logan and friends"
Just an idea. I leave it to others to flesh it out :)

I'm sorry I've been away, complacent from all the good news. I will immediately pray for Logan's restoration to good health. I pray that no evil, harm or danger may approach this child. He is covered in the blood of Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior, the holy living lamb. We lift up the lives of those involved and pray for the wisdom and strength evident of God's guiding hand.
2 Corinthians 4:8
[We are] troubled on every side, yet not distressed; [we are] perplexed, but not in despair;
Psalms 18:6
In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, [even] into his ears.
...prayers continue

Hello TC...would it be OK if I sent this photo via email to family and friends so they too can pray for Logan? I would like them to see his photo so they can see the real baby. Please let me know...I don't want to send it out without your permission. I know it is posted publicly on FR but....Thanks, Cubreporter.
To: MistyCA
Agreed. We can learn so much from these sweet little champs.

I just got back from church and wanted to check in on precious. He will be in my prayers all day, just as he was all through the night. I don't want to bother the family, but I know that myself and every Freeper praying for him longs for news hour by hour.
To: mosby; A-teamMom
+To God be the Glory ... thank you for your kind words ...
Thank You, Father, for Logan's mom, Beth ... She had waited so long to bring this life into the world ... and she still waits to hold her baby. Lord, give to her the desire of her heart, I pray ... the delight of shepherding this child through life, to Your honor and glory.
Provide encouragement and comfort to her and Bud, Nana and the family, and the medical team who surround baby Logan. Uplift them, too, Lord, for their skilled hands and their comfort and love have touched this baby ... turn back this assault on Logan, and restore him, in the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...
