Prayer Request for A Tiny Baby (Update in post #12850)
Myself | 8-11-03 | Brad's Gramma

Posted on 08/11/2003 12:57:30 PM PDT by Brad’s Gramma

If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. He’s the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.

Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2” long.

He’s a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that he’s starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.

I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious…and this is her reply…” A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.”

On a personal note, I’ve read the emails daily from my friend. I’ve known her for years, I’ve heard her talking about her family for years…but I’ve got to tell you that I’m SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.

Father God, we lift up Logan’s little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until he’s grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Fellow Freepers…….I bring you Logan!!!

I think I am just a little confused and probably don’t remember but...is Emelia Logan’s baby sister? Did I miss something? Anyway, she is darling too and love her head band and the sunglass photos. What a great time Logan looked like he was having at his party. We love the cake. Was EVERYTHING CAKE? The dinosaurs as well???? It was really neat. What a smile he has and oh those sparkling eys. Of course..puppy had to be in there as well. :) Thanks for sharing. Always love getting his photos.

Let’s see if I can answer for BG. The baby is Logan’s cousin, little baby daughter of his Uncle G. BUT... Logan wants a baby sister so he tells everyone she is!! LOL

The dinosaurs were not cake, they were plastic. But the mountain did “spew” smoke from dry ice. A friend of Uncle G’s made the cake...3 layer, 2 chocolate and 1 vanilla. It was delicious and I hate sweets!!

Every year these parties get bigger and more fun. Logan can swim like a little fish.... and delights in playing in the water for hours. Between school starting for him and the birthday the same week.... it’s been busy to say the least.

Blessing....

Nana

A big, if belated bump to the little man. No not so little any more. But definitely a rooting tooting Texas man.

I'll try to remember to show these pictures to Miss V, when she comes up next weekend. She goes to school everyday as well, a pre-K for kids with "problems" hers are being a little behind in speech, but way ahead in other things. She's been determined to be lactose, gluten, soy and food dye intolerant. She's making great strides with speech and with self control.

She did Halloween as a Prairie Girl, in a dress, apron and bonnet custom made by Grandma Gata. The twins were Tigger and Pooh, and absolutely adorable, if their grandfather does say so himself.

So. The baby kicked his/her Mommy today. She “translated” said kick and sent me a text. “I love you Gramma”....

Now how cool is that?

Smart kid huh!

;)

LOL! What a smartie this child is!! I think that it’s amazing the baby know how to kick text... most do it with their fingers. Of course, this IS your special baby-to-be grandchild. Indeed it’s cool....and a miracle in the making.

Love you Nanc...

How’s the baby doing?

Other than cute, beautiful, sleeps 8 hours a nite & knows her ABC’s?

;)

Sigh...... another little star is soon to be born :) Thank God there’s something good going on! Hope these babies can straighten out the mess we’re in! And with the obvious kick texting talent of baby-to-be, “it’s” a shoo-in as a front runner!!

xoxoxo..

She doing great, thanks for asking! She and Logan went to the dinasour show this past weekend and he reports that Emelia was really brave and wasn’t scared of the big ones!! She is cute, happy, sleeps usually about 7 hours straight and has no teeth yet! We may have to take her to Mexico for some cheap dentures! LOL She’ll be her again tomorrow and Friday and when Friday evening comes, I’m toast! She likes to be entertained!!! LOL
