If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious and this is her reply A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen
Fellow Freepers .I bring you Logan!!!
Thank you ....and your son. We can only imagine how very proud of him you are. Please tell him thank you from our family for his service to our country.

Logan just has to see that picture in post 13598! I’m sure by now he understands a little about the circustances of his birth, and will get a big kick out of what another born in similar circumstancee has become and what he could become. A Marine, like His “Uncle TC” (and LadyX too of course)
Miss V is now dressing herself, mostly, and she's a very fussy dresser, oftern going through two or three outfits before finding one that is just right.
She is with Grandma and Grandpa and a new guest Cousin Tatitiana. Tatianna is the step daugheter of Grandma Gata's younger brother. She is from Kirghizstan, but is of Ukranian and ?Georgian? extraction. She came to the US over 9 years ago, and will be 16 in August. She'd with us for a couple of months this summer. She's been a big help with the Twins, and Victoria, maybe more so with Victoria. And it gets her away from Dad, who is having trouble adjusting to having a young teenage babe as a daughter. (That often happens with the Wild Child type guys when they become Papa of the teen girl).
The Great Nieces are off visiting so it's just the 4 of us. We sat out on the driveway tonight and watched fireworks. Both the Big Show over on Ft. Hood, and from the neighborhood. I was quite proud of Miss V. She wasn't afraid , except maybe right at first when some large bangs and some "howlers" were set off from only a house or three away. She's down for the count now, she was really beat, and knew it.
The twins are doing great, 8 months old tomorrow, but developmentally not quite 7 months. Miss Elizabeth is the big one still, and the difference is quite noticiable when they are side by side, or you pick one up. Just looking at them one at a time, Grandpa still mixes 'em up, especially if it's been a couple of weeks.
They went to New Jersey to see Daddy's family. My daughter got a bit too ambitious though, and set it up for 3 weeks for her and the gilrs, 1 week for Daddy. Miss V had a pretty good time, except she couldn't be convinced that the hot tub wasn't a bath, and kept stripping down before jumping in. :)
Here's a photo taken in NJ just before they came home. Their daddy calls Miss E. "Spewy" and "Jabba". Both had 3 teeth, and are workin on several more. Boy does that make them cranky.
Miss V had an electrifying time in 'Jersey!
Miss Elizabeth and Miss Kathryn in that order,
I think.. ah who knows? Grandma knows, Mommy knows, Grandpa is not so sure.
How much bigger is Miss Elizabeth than Miss Kathryn?
Too cool.......thank you!!!!!
You’ve been truly blessed...
Thanks, Grandpa, for the update on the Amazing Miss V and the Twins. That dressing oneself can be quite a trip. “I can do it MYSELF!!” LOL!
You have a full house for awhile. Glad the twins are progressing nicely, and you have a good helper for a couple months.
About two pounds and an inch or is it a pound and two inches? I'd have to ask the Grandma, who is on the phone with The Aunt at the moment.
Here' a new a new and better picture from their 4th of July bash.
Forgot to ping.
Yes Uncle G, Great Uncle G and Grandpa G is blessed. (Just wish there were some BOYS in that mix. Well, younger daughter is still hopeful, and there are a few nephews and great nephews, who all live in other states, as well. One of the nephews is even biologically related to me. :)
Two adorable little peas in a pod.
I should have known, her nickanme, and we called her until recently, is Tanya. (or Tynish), but those are for "kids".
She hacked in to my account and somehow created a new account for herself, complete with password protection. I still don't understand how she did that. Unless La Gata gave her the password to my account, but I don't think I've ever told her what it is. She won't let Tatyana even touch her laptop, but does let her use the Desktop which is also La Gata's)
Happy Birthday, Logan!
(I almost got in trouble: I typed in “Texas Turnip” and FR didn’t like that — thank goodness! I blame too many cookbooks; I’m used to typing in ingredients. Besides, being from west coast of Ohio, middle America flyover country, I’m the one who is more apt to have fallen off the turnip truck.) ;)
As I mentioned to Kathy last night: Can you believe it’s been 5 years!? (You guys must really be feeling old. I feel the same. Our Texas Termite should be feeling old because he’s growing into a young man and that sure makes us proud!)
Happy HAPPY Happy Birthday, Logan! We’re so glad you’re in the world!!!
Praying for many many more Happy Birthdays for the Termite.
Woo hoo!!
Happy Birthday Logan!!
BTTT
Happy Birthday Logan! Goodness five already! Well done big guy. We look forward to many more birthday celebrations with you. We love you Logan.
Wow. 5 years already? It’s amazing how time flies.
Logan, little guy, you’re a miracle and we’re all so very happy to see that you’ve reached this milestone.
Ms. Piper says ‘hi’!
He was a "party animal". He's so big! He kept thanking everyone for coming (there were about 38 people there)..... and telling his mommy that she was "exquisite" :)
Gosh Nanc, he's so precious. With all of the attention, with all that he has, he's a nice little boy. He's ALL boy, but really not spoiled and is so compassionate. Logan loves life!
When we think back 5 years, all the ups and downs, who would have ever dreamed that it would turn out this way? Prayers answered, indeed. There are so many who have been here with us all along, and a few of our special loved ones/friends that are watching from Above. To all we say thank you, we love you all for your generous hearts and unwavering love and caring. We hope the pictures will bring a smile to your faces and let you get a glimpse of what life with Logan is like :)
Nana..... Logan & Beth
And MY favorite? Not that THAT matters....but just LOOK at this. Does this NOT speak VOLUMES of Logan and the type of man he's going to be? This is his Daddy's Dad....
Happy Birthday Logan! We all love you!
