If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious and this is her reply A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen
Fellow Freepers .I bring you Logan!!!
Woo hoo! Fish and chips!!
Should come with an excessive cuteness warning :)
WOO HOO, Big Fisherman. You're looking good Logan.
I'm going to TRY to remember that one!!!
After seeing the hapiness on Logan's face, I can't he but think of this song by George Strait..
GEORGE STRAIT lyrics - "The Best Day"
We loaded up my old station wagon
with a tent, a Coleman and sleepin' bags.
Some fishin' poles, a cooler of Cokes,
three days before we had to be back.
When you're seven you're in seventh heaven
when you're goin' campin' in the wild outdoors.
As we turned off on that old dirt road
he looked at me and swore...
[Chorus:]
Dad, this could be the best day of my life.
I've been dreamin' day and night about the fun we'll have.
Just me and you doin' what I've always wanted to.
I'm the luckiest boy alive,
this is the best day of my life.
His fifteenth birthday rolled around,
classic cars were his thing.
When I pulled in the drive with that old Vette
I thought that boy would go insane.
When you're in your teens
your dreams revolve around four spinnin' wheels.
We worked nights on end 'till it was new again,
and as he sat behind the wheel he said,
[Chorus:]
Dad, this could be the best day of my life.
I've been dreamin' day and night about the fun we've had.
Just me and you doin' what I've always wanted to.
I'm the luckiest boy alive
this is the best day of my life.
Standin' in a little room back of the church with our tuxes on,
Lookin' at him I say, I can't believe, son that you've grown.
He said,
[Chorus:]
Dad, this could be the best day of my life.
I've been dreamin' day and night of bein' like you.
Now it's me and her,
watchin' you and mom I've learned,
I'm the luckiest man alive,
this is the best day of my life.
I'm the luckiest man alive,
this is the best day of my life.
Wow...
Thank you!!!
Looks like Texas Termite is Coast Guard ready!
Recruit the man while you can!!!!
LOL!!
Thank you for that, BG. Made my night.
Glad to see the little Termite back to normal and feisty as ever.
A hug and a kiss from Auntie Stanz
grrrr ... I forgot to add Fish into that post
Now THAT's some cuteness!! Yuppers! Hubba hubba!!
And Logan's eyes - as always holding the promise of today - as well as the story of where he has been. . . a self-contained reminder of what makes life matter . . .
Cool! Big Fin doesn't stand a chance!
Logan just keeps getting better and better! Love the fishing outfit.
Back in action, I see! Great pics!
Thank you for the ping. Logan always brings a smile to my face. God bless.
