If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious and this is her reply A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen
Fellow Freepers .I bring you Logan!!!
And that's why we love that little boy so much; he's one of a kind.
It's a dog cage. My daughter has a larger version, for a larger dog, that she calls a "gorrilla cage".
Since no one responded to they question, I'll speculate: Notice that the door is open. Logan probably crawled in there on his own, to visit the dog, who promptly, or not so promptly got outa dodge.
I remember crawling into and even riding in our Spring Spaniel's (Lady of course) travel cage in the trunk of our '53 Pontiac. (It had ventilation louvers over what should have been the rear speaker holes). That travel cage, homemade, still exits, AFAIK, but has long since been converted into a cage for keeping baby chickens in, complete with warming light. It's idle now, as the Chicken Man, my father, passed away in April of 2004. (He really was known around our city and state as The Chicken Man.)
Thank you, sweetie, but I'm sure Nana realizes I was joking. He is a smart, curious child, and he explores everything in sight.
Hi Y'all...
You're right! Logan decided that the dog cage would be a great place to play, and he crawled in on his own and had himself a fine time. I have a BIG kennel kab carrier out here for our Rhott, and Logan makes that his playhouse all the time. Nothing is safe from him anymore :) He can climb like a little spider and is curious about any and everything he sees and can't see.
Indeed, our prayers have been answered with this little one. At times, I remind myself that this IS what we prayed so hard for!! LOL He runs me plumb out and by the end of the day, I just want a recliner and a big glass of ice tea. But I never forget to thank our friends who prayed so hard, and God, who granted our wishes.
Hugs ......
Nana
Just dropping by to wish a great big Happy Birthday to our Texas Termite, Logan. Bring on the terrible two's, kiddo!!! LOL. No, (just kidding, Nana!), thank God, the two's are terrific for you,TT, even more so because of what brought you this far, and we are thankful beyond measure.
Hugs and Love. Have a wonderful day!

I've been reading this thread off and on since it started and I want to tell you both how unbelievable I just felt reading about his birthday. I am happier for all of you than I can tell you.
ShadowDancer, without your prayers, all of your prayers...this day would be far different.
Thank you SO MUCH!!!
May the Lord bless you and your family, richly.
Today, as we celebrate Logans 2nd birthday, it seems like a lifetime ago that every hour was racked with fear that our little one wouldnt make it. But make it he did .and what a wondrous journey he has taken us on.
Logan now weighs a hefty 21+ pounds and is almost 32 long. That may be little to some, but for this baby, its made him a mighty Termite indeed!!
He has finally outgrown that terrible reflux, and other than chocking at times, he does really well. Hes had a bout with pneumonia recently and came through it like a champ. Of course, we protect him like she-wolves when RSV and flu season is around. But its been worth the effort. He has remained healthy and is thriving!!
Hes bright and funny and all boy. He loves to play in the water, drizzle sand all over everything, and is even learning to eat real food instead of baby food. He has a mouth full of teeth .. What can I say; hes just a normal little boy! How much better can it get??
Its been a year filled with joy for those of us who love Logan so. Without a very special lady (Brads Gramma) who started this thread, our family would have missed the loving friendship and prayers of all on FR who have become so dear to us. When Logans grown, he will be given the CDs that his thread was copied to so that he can see how much everyone loved and prayed for him.
Sadly, its also been a year that we learned that our treasured Uncle TC was diagnosed with cancer and is now in the biggest fight hes ever been in .that of one for his very life. We missed him so at the party yesterday for the baby. It just didnt seem right not to see that big, black truck pull up ..and the gentleman with his warm smile and famous hug come through the door. But hell be back .. and then he and his little punkin can walk in the country and smell the flowers. Its the way God intended it to be.
And so as we begin the 3rd year of Logans life, we first want to thank all of you for always being there for our baby, for taking him into your hearts and for loving him as you do. We also want to ask all of you to pray for TC.
Our love, our appreciation and best wishes to all of you .. We hope youll enjoy the pictures as Logan celebrates his birthday ..

Look at him now. :-)

:)
THANK YOU for praying, and bumping this thread!!
Thanks for the pictures, Kathy. What a sweet little boy.
