If you reflect light regardless of its color, there isn't much you could do to adapt, is there?

Balrog666, did you sign the agreement? If so, "morons on parade" isn't keeping within the spirit of agreement... Say hello to Stinky Spork!
RWP, no offense, but you've been letting people get to you waaaaaay too much lately... smell the roses, then have a relaxing drink...

It's still more plausible than life in any form evolving from nonlife.

I apologize for calling the trolls "morons". It's sufficient to call a troll a troll. The rest is self-evident. Internet Trolls.

P.S. Hovind is right when he is aligned with scripture, his speculations are just that, speculations, of which I happen to agree with most. I believe you've been on threads when Hovind's loony-tunes spewing has been extensively documented and debunked. I hope we don't need to do all that over on another thread, as we should all know by now what's out there.
To: VadeRetro
His credentials seem to have been unquestioned while he was publishing YEC articles in places like Creation Research Quartlerly. Thank you.

The word for "computer", for example, comes from the root meaning "to think"; the word "railroad" comes from a root meaning "to ride"). Irish does the same sort of thing; unfortunately, Irish, unlike Hebrew, is a dying language.

Why is it STILL in the rocks? Beause it's being produced there, or its being carried in there.

But beating a Cold, Rational, Scientific Person over the head with the literal interpritation of Flood and Pre-Flood Creation will place a unneeded barrier between them and Jesus Christ. Good post.

As I suspected, no answer to my first response. Instead, I'll take what you say and use it against you.
Old earth scientists have been so busy peddling their mistaken assumptions as fact that science has been given the shaft along with everyone it's supposed to serve. Special interests from the left control it just as they have controlled everything else.
Please look at my post #308 here and tell me how left controls the science of trigonometry that is used as basis for measuring distances to stars?
What science needs is to be free of the idealogues and otherwise full of people who do science rather than speculation - who present facts rather than concocted theories posing as fact.
Like this article - Using the wrong instrument to measure something is proof of nothing. Also the wacky theories of Dr. Humphrey - a simple thought experiment is all that is needed to logically disprove this one(see post #84). Of course you will scream "show hard proof". Well, the next time I am in interGALACTIC space I'll take some samples of the void.
The illusion only stands up so long as the cards are left alone. Touch one and examine it and you will be picking up cards for years.
I will gladly pick up the cards of which you speak, provided you actually prove something. This article(ever hear of the right instrument for the right job?) and especially Dr. Humphrey claptrap is no where close to disproving anything.
P.S. Please respond to my post #123. I'd love to see your "What science needs is to be free of the idealogues and otherwise full of people who do science rather than speculation" response.

But beating a Cold, Rational, Scientific Person over the head with the literal interpritation of Flood and Pre-Flood Creation will place a unneeded barrier between them and Jesus Christ. Unfortunately there is a New Testament passage that specifically warns against saying what 50sDad posted.
2 Peter 3:5
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

Thank you so much for sharing your decision neither to sign-on to the agreement nor to comply with our guidelines to avoid flame wars on science threads. I now advise others who are interested in avoiding science thread flame wars of your decision in the matter and suggest that they avoid confrontation with you.

Sure, but peer review is not a cure-all. Neither is a non-peer reviewed document automatically erroneous. Galileo was peer-reviewed. I am not suggesting tht ICR is of that level of genius, but, let's face it, peer review can be used to swat down dissent.
I am always fascinated by the use of words like "absolute". I see you have used it in your response and related it to honesty. Either you mean it as a rhetorical device, or perhaps you believe in absolutes? Perhaps even absolute truth? If so, then what about evolution is absolutely true? I submit nothing. It really is a clever theory and nothing more. Evolution embarrasses me much more than does creationism. I have the sense that evolutionists are extremely embarassed by creationists. But let me ask why the laws of nature (presumably including the alleged evolutionary mechanisms) created at the time of the big bang can satisfy any search for, or explanantion of, origins when they cannot have preceded the "beginning"?
