MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 5 The clergyman seeking to become the first openly gay bishop in the Episcopal Church has been cleared of 11th-hour allegations, church sources have confirmed, NBC News Jim Avila reported Tuesday afternoon. The vote by bishops to confirm the elevation of the Rev. V. Gene Robinson, which had been postponed Monday for an investigation into the surprise allegations, was rescheduled for Tuesday afternoon.

Bill currently on phone, screaming at Hillary, "why couldn't you have gotten these investigators to handle the Lewinsky case?"

Must have been a thorough investigation...if this guy had been a straight man accused of groping a lady, we would have had Clarence Thomas II...liberals are disgusting!

Welp, looks like the episcapalians, along with the unitarians, et al just once more show why they are not the keepers of the faith.

There really is no Episcopal church anymore. What used to be the Episcopal church has become a meeting place for various individuals who want pretend to be religious. The various changes over the past twenty-five years have reduced the Episcopal church to a rude joke from what was otherwise a major religion.

The Florida recount should have been has quick.

Seems like a 'parsing' of sorts here. . .as in 'not guilty' vs 'innocent'. They cleared him of charges as they were found 'not sufficient'. . .
This is losing scenario. . .

Tut tut! If he had been a conservative straight man accused of groping a lady. This one is good lieberal, so anything he had done would have been ok, just like bubba, teddy the corpulent, dodd, et al.

Look for a church split on this one.
I know a gay UMC pastor and he was tossed out on his ear.

Well that could be said of almost any religion; all kind of people show up, for all kinds of reasons.
But most, I think are finding a 'way' to practice some spiritual dicipline and trying to find, or sustain some Faith.

Can't spend too much time investigating all those charges, now can we? Laci Peterson's murderer should have this dream team clear him in a morning, huh?

Finding a way fails to explain the transformation the Episcopal church has gone through over the past number of years. This church is trying to be everything to everyone, and in that endeavor has lost any claim to being a world religion.
I'm not worried about the vote this afternoon. My wife and I already voted... with our feet a number of years ago.
