WASHINGTON A major hotel chain that will not make top-rated Fox News Channel available to guests has a record of individual campaign contributions heavily favoring Democrats.
Federal Election Commission records reviewed by NewsMax.com show that among those officials who list Starwood or a Starwood hotel property as their workplace favored Democrats by better than 3 to 1 over Republicans for the 1999-2000 election cycle.
Starwood's hotels include Sheraton, Westin, St. Regis, Luxury Connection, Four Points and, ironically, W.

A Marriott I stayed in last week-end, near Denver, didn't have it. When I checked out, I told them how disapppointed I was, as usually Marriott does have FNC. The manager heard me, and immediately said that it is coming -soon, that they were getting a scillion new channels. I told him that was great, but I only want one -- FNC.

Wife and I just got back from a week at the Miami Westin Hotel.
Plush, 5-Star, Exlusive, and Mega-Expensive.
Completely void of Fox News. It did have one Fox station.
Guess what I requested on the guest comment card?

"Apparently they do. Have you checked the room rates for Sheraton and Westin lately?" We stayed in the Miami Beach Westin for a week (last week).
One room with a wrap around balcony was $230 a nite.
Marble floors.
When I called for the location of the vending machines the response was: "Sorry, we have no vending machines."
LoL! Figi water was $7/ltr bottle in the room.

get a LIFE! I've stayed at 17 different Starwood Hotels (Sheraton, Westin, W, and St. Regis) this year. Every one of them had FNC. We are also Starwood Vacation Owners and their SVO properties carry FNC as well. Starwood has to be the best hotel chain in the US. From Westin's Heavenly Beds, Heavenly Showers, and Sheraton's Sweet Sleepers...there is no beating Starwood. Also, their rewards program (Starwood Preferred Guest) is the best in the Industry winning many Freddie Awards.

I've stayed in a few
W Hotels around the country a few times.
The novelty has worn off. Staying in a W is like sleeping over at the Bat Cave.
I prefer hallways with something other than purple lights now!

bad hotels. uncomfortable beds. they can't compare to westin's heavenly beds or sheraton's sweet sleepers.

Okay! and remember to stay out of the French-owned flea bag Motel 6's too.

This is terribly erroneous info. I seek out Starwood hotels when I am on the road. They do NOT cater to "well healed Democrats". I have stayed, literally, at over 100 of their hotels and MANY of them have FNC.
The first thing I look for on the hotel tv is FNC, HBO and ESPN. Someone is trying to pull the wool over our eyes.

thanks for backing me up! Don't you love the Heavenly Beds?
To: MatthewViti
OH MAN!!! Do they rock or what?!!!
I am not a finicky sleeper but the heavenly bed is something you need to experience to appreciate. Sounds silly - but it is true. I was taking a client out one time and we stayed at the Westin Michigan Avenue in Chicago. He got up the next morning so well rested he called the company and ordered one for his house.

Please see replies 70 to 72 on this thread. Someone must have a beef with Starwood and is spreading a silly rumor. Most of the Starwood hotels I stay in have FNC - and I have stayed at MANY, MANY of them.
Happy trails in travel adventures,

This is a false rumor. See my posts around #70.

I'd love to order one but they are expensive! You can order the Heavenly Shower at least. Have you stayed at the new Westin in Times Square? I've been there three thimes this year, and man is it great! And yes, they do have FNC. I also heard the Millenium Hilton re-opened on Church St. with Plasma TV's in every room. I'll have to check that out.

Two weeks ago I stayed at the Sheraton in downtown New Orleans and they had FoxNews. Nice hotel. Towers high above Canal Street.

Good post. We need to keep putting the heat on them. I lived at the Sheraton Hotel in Lowell MA from 1995 to 2000, including after the transition of ownership to Doubletree, and their TV channel selection was horrible to bear.
I commuted on weekends from Logan airport to home in PA, except during times when my wife would fly to Boston to burn those Starwood points at the Boston Sheraton and we'd stay downtown at Prudential Center.
I regularly filled out the guest comment forms urging them to dump their biased CNN Headline News and replace it with FNC, all to no avail.
P.S. - During that time I was working with the Fox Internet center in Lowell. We hosted the web sites for FNC, TV Guide, Major League Baseball, and other Rupert Murdoch properties.
One perk was that at that time we streamed the FNC live 24 hours a day, so it was up on our screens all the time. That's the only way I survived during that time.

"get a LIFE! I've stayed at 17 different Starwood Hotels (Sheraton, Westin, W, and St. Regis) this year. Every one of them had FNC." Ummm... could you please do me a favor and call the manager of the Miami Westin.
Please inform him (or her) of your many experinces and then insist they comply with the norms of the rest of the corporation?
Please get back with us.

Apparently some sites have FNC and some don't -- what about the ?fact that the 'owners' are heavy rat contributors?
