WASHINGTON – A major hotel chain that will not make top-rated Fox News Channel available to guests has a record of individual campaign contributions heavily favoring Democrats.

Federal Election Commission records reviewed by NewsMax.com show that among those officials who list Starwood or a Starwood hotel property as their workplace favored Democrats by better than 3 to 1 over Republicans for the 1999-2000 election cycle.

Starwood's hotels include Sheraton, Westin, St. Regis, Luxury Connection, Four Points and, ironically, W.

I worked as a contractor at Ziff Brothers Investments. The Ziff Brothers have a giant stake in Starwood. I don't remember if is directly trough ZBI or through their venture capital arm.

I believe the Dirk Ziff is the brother heavily involved with politics. For 1995 and 1996 he gave $412,000, and he also stayed overnight at the White House.

You can call ZBI at 212-292-6000 and ask to speak with Dirk. You might want to tell him why you won't be staying at a Starwood chain any time soon.

Holy cats. Check out their FEC info. They are major Dem donors. Major. Thanks for the tip. FOXNew's website has a hotel finder, BTW. We always ask when we make a reservation. We used to get some chuckles. Not any more. A lot of guests are doing that now, asking if the hotel has FNC.

They cater to well heeled liberals. Save your money and stay at a hotel that doesn't give Fox News Channel or you the bum's rush on account of being conservative.

A dangerous, dangerous game, for a Corporation, which depends upon wide-spread public acceptance!

Thank you for focusing attention on this.

The Marriotts are well known as staunch republicans. I always stay at one of their hotels.

They cater to well heeled liberals.

That would mean they don't require identification and they rent their rooms by the hour. Don't touch the DNA stains on the furniture and carpet.

call them... call them? not on your life... if they start carrying foxnews, then what we have is a successful leftist organization that carries foxnews.... which still sends its money to undermine the republic.

naw... I'll avoid them, and never let them know why... I'd much prefer they lost money and influence, just as cnn has.

let them be the slate of the hotel industry -- don't tell them, tell your friends and family, and of course, your conservative forums. never give them another idea or penny to use against you :o)

I couldn't afford to stay in those posh hotels. I stay in something more wallet friendly. Hey we conservatives wear Timex and I'll take Travelodge any day over the Sheraton and Westin!

Holy cats! Hubby and I are going on a mini-vacaton and were seriously looking at staying at Westin. Phew! thank goodness we decided to go with Embassy Suites instead.
