How about the following list of things to boycott?
1. Houston (Hobby Airport, Ship Channel, Reliant Stadium [Texans], Astrodome, Minute Maid Park [Astros], Geo. Bush Intercontinental Airport).
2. San Antonio except for the Northern part (Alamo, Alamodome, River Walk, el Mercado, La Villita, Tower of the Americas, SBC Center [Spurs], Sea World, Six Flags).
3. Austin (UT Sports, Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum, Austin City Limits TV Show, Chuys, Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport).
4. Corpus Christi (Texas State Aquarium, Salena Memorial, Columbus Fleet, So. Padre Island, Corpus Christi International Airport).
5. South Texas (Dove & Deer Hunting, King Ranch, Mexican Border town activities, Rio Grand Valley Produce).
6. El Paso (El Paso International Airport, Mexican Border town activities).
7. South Dallas (American Airlines Center [Mavericks & Stars)], Reunion Arena, Dallas Zoo, State Fair Grounds, Smirnoff Music Centre).
8. Big Bend Area.
9. Mexican Food.
10. Blue Bell Ice Cream.
Probably a little of both, but Armbrister is not deserving of being lumped in with the rest. He's an old guard conservative democrat who actually votes with us more often than several so-called republicans in the senate. He also said that he would vote to suspend the 21 rule and permit redistricting to pass before his colleagues fled the state.
He's not perfect but he definately is one of the better senators and one of the few respectable democrats. I'd vote for Armbrister any day over our liberal Republican senators Bill Ratliff, Jeff Wentworth, Kyle Janek, Kip Averitt, and Robert Duncan. For the record, Ratliff is essentially the Jim Jeffords of the Texas Senate. Armbrister is comparable to a Ralph Hall.
Hey, how about pictures to go with those names ??Photos taken from the Texas Senators of the 78th Legislature website.

Mr. Dewhurst said he would be on solid ground in working around the Senate tradition requiring a two-thirds vote to take up a bill. The late Lt. Gov. Bob Bullock, a Democrat, did the same thing in a 1992 special session on legislative redistricting, Mr. Dewhurst said.07-18-2003

I stand corrected!
What should be done instead is to brand the fleeing Democrats as undemocratic and childish, instead of calling them brave rebels. Granted its tough in the still strongly liberal media, but a boycott is far fetched. How do you successfully boycott a congressional district?
I have to go check on my sister in Pasadena next week. My daughter and grandkids are taking me. We will have to stay in hotels, and plan on going to NASA. Any suggestions on where NOT to stay?

The lady was nice, but I let her know I was not happy with him. He is the only R that does not want redistricting. He was also the acting lt gov when the previous attempt failed. He voted with the dims.
