Democrats were so stupid to make an issue of campaign finance reform. First, it's unconstitutional (even by the slight part of the constitution they actually care</I. about), and second, it hit them were it hurts. Brilliant strategy. The only thing they were supposed to get out of it was a chance to bash republicans- except the public didn't really care about it. So, in the end, they did it soley to impress the press. Hmmm, maybe McCain was trying to fake them out all along.
