However, Johnny loves France and [to] be living in a tiny village with nothing around. There is still the possibility to live a simple life. You can go to the market, walk about, buy fruits and vegetables -- the things they did 100 and 200 years ago. We have moments when we're sitting in our house and our kids are playing, and we look at one another and think, 'Thank God we escaped.
For Johnny, buying a cucumber or a cabbage from a market is primitive living and living and being in America is a place and state of being, to escape from. Just the same, Johnny wants us all to pay U.S. dollars to see him in the movies so he can continue to badmouth the country that allowed him to become an artiste.
If anyone dare criticize that pompous little twerp for badmouthing America, it is an infringement on his first amendment rights.

OK Laz. , that one is acceptable!
Boys will be boys I guess.
Or will they?
Lately most boys appear to be more curmudgeon like men than boys.
Boys have no respect////many grown men have even less respect!!!
Hhmmm, maybe we really do need bars!

Self-mutilation is a common theme of the mentally ill.And then there's the cultivation of body odor, which draws attention as well as expanding his territory around his body. (Women who wear tons of perfume, too, tend to come across as unstable to me.) I think being messed up is probably what makes him a good actor; devouring egos and narcissists shine when all attention is directed at them, making them natural performers. Of course, we have to remember that he's a nut before taking any advice from him on foreign policy, raising children, etc.

So by your patriotic 'findings' you wish to twist a simple discussion on Mr. Depp's actions into a Constitutional issue?Since we live in a Constitutional Republic, all things that occur with respect to America are colored by the Constitution.
A discussion of Mr. Depp, therefore, becomes a very deep discussion on the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. Take, for example, the 17th amendment. Does Mr. Depp favor or oppose this amendment?
Ah com'n...........get real.
Ah com'n...........get imaginary.

And then there's the cultivation of body odor, which draws attention as well as expanding his territory around his body.Messr. Brad Pitt also has this "problem". Expanding territory... hmmmmm... never thought of that.
Perhaps we could become an expansionist Empire if we all simply stopped bathing.

>Depp's problem is not the USA but hollywoodDepp's problems go beyond that. He's brilliant and has an incredible gift I'd ask, but once I learned "Johnny Depp" is an actor (living in France, apparently with a part in a "Pinwheel Walt" Disney movie), you know... I don't really care to know any more.
It's not like he's relevant to anything...

The hesitation about Depp on this thread concerns his hypocritical disgust with the US. Depp trashes the country and flees (his right) but has no problem with continuing to take it's money and adulation. He reinforces that hypocrisy by marrying a French diva, living in a million dollar home, casually buying $15,000 bottles of wine and joking about his drug use while claiming he lives the "simple life".
Depp is just another in a long line of arrogant, overpaid limosine liberals who talk to the talk but don't walk the walk. Too bad, I used to enjoy his movies but cannot do so anymore.

Enough. He has talent. He may be a scuzzy, liberal, us bashing fool, but man, HE CAN ACT.Then, please, could someone ask him to at least ACT like a normal human being?

The hesitation about Depp on this thread concerns his hypocritical disgust with the US.Without voicing it directly, yes, that is what I am expressing. I am also taking the occasion to poke a little fun at the Patriot Act.

Politics and the bad mouthing of America aside, it sure is nice living in a community of 100 people 200 miles from the nearest town; where there are no locked doors, keys in all vehicles & atvs, and a much slower pace. Like going back in time, maybe that's what he was looking for. Just got to have a plan and sounds to me like he has one.

Perhaps we could become an expansionist Empire if we all simply stopped bathing. Why not? It worked for the French for centuries.

Why not? It worked for the French for centuries.Right! Never occured to me! It wasn't that Napolean was a military genius. It was much more that he was particularly ripe.

What interpretation are you referring too?
Geez. Get real, the man can go to France with his wife and children for a stay if he wishes.
If you want to post, at least post something relevant to our present day and age.
I respect the constitution, but you are bending and not showing all relevant parts pertaining to this issue.
Typical one sided posting on your part.
You are only showing snippets to suit your taste.
There is nothing in the Constitution that prevents Mr. Depp, an American citizen from enjoying a time out of state with his family and children.
Give it up Laz.
