For Johnny, buying a cucumber or a cabbage from a market is primitive living and living and being in America is a place and state of being, to “escape” from. Just the same, Johnny wants us all to pay U.S. dollars to see him in the movies so he can continue to badmouth the country that allowed him to become an “artiste.”

If anyone dare criticize that pompous little twerp for badmouthing America, it is an “infringement” on his first amendment rights.

I think being messed up is probably what makes him a good actor; devouring egos and narcissists shine when all attention is directed at them, making them natural performers. Of course, we have to remember that he's a nut before taking any advice from him on foreign policy, raising children, etc.

So by your patriotic 'findings' you wish to twist a simple discussion on Mr. Depp's actions into a Constitutional issue?

Since we live in a Constitutional Republic, all things that occur with respect to America are colored by the Constitution.

A discussion of Mr. Depp, therefore, becomes a very deep discussion on the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. Take, for example, the 17^th amendment. Does Mr. Depp favor or oppose this amendment?

The hesitation about Depp on this thread concerns his hypocritical disgust with the US. Depp trashes the country and flees (his right) but has no problem with continuing to take it's money and adulation. He reinforces that hypocrisy by marrying a French diva, living in a million dollar home, casually buying $15,000 bottles of wine and joking about his drug use while claiming he lives the "simple life".

Depp is just another in a long line of arrogant, overpaid limosine liberals who talk to the talk but don't walk the walk. Too bad, I used to enjoy his movies but cannot do so anymore.

Politics and the bad mouthing of America aside, it sure is nice living in a community of 100 people 200 miles from the nearest town; where there are no locked doors, keys in all vehicles & atvs, and a much slower pace. Like going back in time, maybe that's what he was looking for. Just got to have a plan and sounds to me like he has one.

Geez. Get real, the man can go to France with his wife and children for a stay if he wishes.
If you want to post, at least post something relevant to our present day and age.
I respect the constitution, but you are bending and not showing all relevant parts pertaining to this issue.
