We may have some splits on the congregation - the Stouts vs. the Lagers, Lambics vs. Pilsners, etc.

Just as long as no one shows up with a six-pack of Coors Light - that would launch a religious conflict with untold casualties.

I believe I will be attending Friday evening mass this afternoon after a hopefully successful job interview. I just hope there are no hymns, because I have heard how most in my congregation sing.

By the way, is Homer a saint?
Mmmmmm. Beer.

"A woman is a lot like a refrigerator. They're big, they're about 400 pounds.....they make ice. No wait, a woman is a lot like a beer. They smell good, they look good, and you'd step over your own mother just to get one. But you can't stop at one, you have to drink another woman." -- Homer Simpson

No, only a Cardinal.

The account exec that cast the Lite beer Catfight ads is a Saint.

I hope we don't get into arguments about anti-disestablishmentarianism -- because that's really hard to say if you've been drinking!

I think that I shall never hear,
a poem lovelier than a beer.

The kind Joe's Bar has on tap,
with golden base and foamy cap.

Wondrous stuff I drink all day,
until my memory melts away.

Poems are made by fools I fear,
I get poetic when I have a beer.

-Stolen from somebody.

A herd of buffalo can move only as fast as the slowest buffalo. When the
herd is hunted, it is always the slowest and weakest ones at the back that
are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole,
because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by
the regular culling of the weakest members. In much the same way the human
brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive
intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it
attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells, making the brain a faster and
more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few
beers.
